Locks and Games of the Year (ATS today)

Here's the problem I've had as a subscriber to tout services (most recently, Mike Godsey). They will come out with a lock or GOY or even their top-unit play, even when it's contradicted by something as significant as this information: CALIFORNIA (-11.5, O/U: 65.5) vs. TEXAS TECH:
The Pac 10 has dominated the Big 12 in this bowl series, going 5-1 SU & 6-0 ATS in the last six years. Overall, the Big 12 representative has failed to cover in seven straight games.

If you want to make it a selection anyway-based on your other capping research, fine; but it doesn't make sense to upgrade it to such an extent when strong, significant counter-information exists.

Something I think is also significant is that Texas beat Texas Tech 51-21 earlier this season. Don't think Cal doesn't know it. In a situation where everything has been out of their control, this will be perceived as the one thing they can -and IMO will- control. (I realize I'm preaching to the choir here but needed to get it off my chest.)

thick don't worry about the records on your chart, that is a good report keep posting it. The records are usually for just the picks that are posted by those consensus sites. Consensus Online and Watchdog also do the same thing, only posting records of the picks that people see on their reports, that is the honest thing to do. thanks for your posts

I'm with you gravy. Plus, during Mike Leach's tenure at TT, 11 of his 19 loses were by 20+ points. Its all or nothing for this group. And dont believe the hype about Cal being unprepared for this game. Yeah, they'd rather be in Pasadena, but believe me, they want to put an ass-whippin on TT to prove a point.
