Sure Moss will sky for a "jump ball" or a post route, there is nobody better.....

    but he won't....
catch a ball in the thick of things, alligator arm sets in

    or block ANYONE

or become a successful decoy for a play to work for the TEAMS benifit or future team success

or become the slightest bit more focused and discipline (he got called for stupid ass motion penalties, probably wasn't the go-to guy for those plays)

The Vikings should unload this cancer and pick up a couple defensive tackles and a linebacker.
Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

      You're not very bright

Moss does block, that is a myth that has been perpetauted by the media that he doesn't.

If you had a football team, there's not a receiver you'd want before him. That's a fact.

Why don't you guys trying watching some of these games with non gamblers. You'd be surprised. When I watch games with non gamblers I realize how objective they are and only gamblers are subjective and so biased that if calls don't go their way they cry fixed. Games arent fixed. Gambling is just bad for the mind and makes you think of conspiracy crap. Vegas needed Minnesota to cover last Monday Night and they didn't. Guess who the refs were calling penalties on? The Vikings and NOT Philly when Vegas if games were fixed would have loved to have the calls go versus Philly. Minnesota clearly is an undisciplined team and the calls against them for the most part are obvious.

any bettor who actually thinks that pro sports in this day and age are fixable...especially football...is too retarded to bet...period. I'd like for someone to show me how you might go about fixing a game. It doesn't happen.

There are these guys that carry whistles that also wear black and white stripes. They're called officials. They control a great deal of what happens in certain games. They don't need to affect every play. Just a few key plays. Again, I'm not saying games are fixed. But they could very easily be.

You want an example? Try two years ago when the Giants played the Eagles on a Saturday at the end of the year. Twice the G-Men scored TDs on bombs to break open the game. And BOTH were called back for holding on the left tackle, when replays clearly showed that there was not even a hint of holding. Then Tiki gets tackled as they're running out the clock to set up the winning FG, and they call it a fumble. It took a MIRACLE missed FG by Philly to save it for the Giants in OT. But even though they lost, the eagles were given that game on 3 separate occasions. Sometimes a ref can't overcome one team being that much better than the other on a given day. But they can try if they have enough money bet on it.

Not a sure thing, but that's a great example of how easy it is to fix a game 90% of the time.

Oh, and before some loser gets on here and says, "you must have bet the giants...."
WRONG! I had the Eagles in that contest and clearly made the wrong bet. Yet if not for a bunch of miracles to overcome the refs terrible calls, I would have won. I simply got lucky and still lost.

OK, casheasy...how would you fix a game if you wanted to focus on an official? How much would it cost and how much could you make?

The same guys that say the NFL is fixed are the same schmoes that cant spell in their posts.

Do you think the refs get paid anymore by who wins or loses? Oh yeah, the crew chief gets like 50K in cash on Monday morning from the mob--what a moron

You lost a bet, get over it-

sounds like the guy that thought Bowden would blow the Clemson game on purpose to help save his son's job--some people are straight dumb.

You know how many people it would take to fix a game? Ask the ASU people in on that scandal--he said it was easy right? Oh yeah, they didnt cover even though they tried--everyone lost millions--That is what kicks ass about sports--nobody and I mean nobody can predict the winner even when they try and fix it.

Just to correct the know-it-all Frankb03's post, NC had Minnesota as the GOM, not GOY. Also, if he were to go back over the past year's, he would know that NC has been excellent in the preseason, although he is right about this year, they were poor.

Sometimes you can have the right side and not win. Anyone that had the Bears on Sunday should feel extremely lucky.

                        Neyland

I don't HAVE to "focus" on an official.

HE is the one fixing the game. Get it? How much money would it take? If you're betting to win $20,000, than it would take $22,000.

And before some loser says that you can't bet that much without the league finding out.......puhleeeeze.

As far as how much money it would take to get a player to throw a game, it wouldn't take near as much as you think. If you have info on them that they don't want to get out, they'll do it for nothing. While it would happen next to never, it certainly could happen.

Again, this is all speculation. These ridiculous calls I am citing could merely be "coincidence".

                            You said it, I didn't

I merely painted the picture. I draw no conclusions. but now that you say it, it does seem absurd that it would be coincidence.

Really? So you're going to bet $22,000...how much are you going to have to pay the ref?

                                I don't think you're understanding something

Again, not all games are being fixed by somebody buying off a ref. This is where you go wrong. Sometimes there is no middle man. I'll try to spell this slowly......

An official decides he likes a game. HE bets it, not me. I am not involved. I have no idea who the official is.

He doesn't have to pay himself anything.

He bets on the game he likes, knowing he's going to work it the next day. And if the NFl taps his phone LOL, he simply does it online or has his brother bet it or his dad or his buddy or his......

He then makes two or three calls that influence the game. Some games he will win without these calls. Some games he will lose no matter what. But most of the time, he will affect the close games in his favor AND it will pay off. Do that 3 times a year, and succeed say, 7 out of 9 times over the course of 3 years, and he's doing nicely to supplement his income. He may bet $40,000 a game. 50,000 a game. Whatever. But nobody is paying him off. HE'S doing it. Get it?
