I don't care what you say the NFL IS FIXED. Noway minnesota wins by only 5. I watched the hole game, 75% of the flags were on MINN. Five starting bears were out, they take one or two games a week and play around with the spread.If MINNESOTA ****** Vegas takes a MAJOR loss. Gambling controls sports period. And not to start another argument , PETE ROSE is not the only professional player to gamle on sports.

it up until I saw the 21st penalty called and it was still late in the third quarter.....I've said it many many times.....the Officials are the ones that control the outcome of NFL games....not the players....Minn had no less than 3 TD's taken down including a kickoff return for a touchdown called back on not one but two terrible calls ON THE SAME PLAY.

No sour grapes....it is just the nature of the National Fixed League....you must try very hard to get on the side of the officials for the game......very tough to do.....one would think the nod would go to the home team but clearly not the case.....

To Minnesotas own discredit.....they did earn half of those penalties on false starts and holds.....the others were the boys needing the side to come in with plus points.

If anyone was on the take, it's that puke of a coach, Puke Tice. That coaching staff is horrible. Whether they were on the goal line or 2nd, 3rd, 4th and one, the piece of sh*t refuses to run the ball. Absolutely no defensive intensity what so ever, from any player on the team. They can't tackle, cover without flags, or intercept a football to save their lives. The whole team, INCLUDING THE COACHES, just wait for Moss to do his thing. Any Minny fan in their right mind would want that whole staff FIRED NOW. Moss still plays only 25 percent of the game. One play, if he would have only attempted to block anyone, would have been very productive.

Listen, he tries way too much to please Moss..They had the ball 3 times inside the 10 yard line, they do a trick play(reverse) and fumble....they had 2nd and 1 from the 5 and threw the ball 3 times trying to get moss a TD....He or the offensive cord, need to change their ways if this team wants to go far......

In a recent poll conducted 24% of NFL players admitted to betting on games and 8% admitted they, or someone they know, influenced the outcome of a game because they had money on it! Tice doesn't do ENOUGH to please Moss. On those 3 passes, they never once threw the fade that works almost every time. They tried 2 passes to Moss, but they were dumb plays. If they merely started throwing the ball to him against certain coverages once they are inside the 20, they would score EVERY time. They simply refuse to do it, because they've been fooled into thinking that football is a difficult game to grasp. It really isn't.

The Vikings better change their playcalling quick, you're right about that. That dumb reverse almost cost them the game.

I must also respond to the refs calls in that contest. I am not certain they were trying to fix the game, but it was funny that on one long play a ref made a horrible call early in the play that nobody saw. Then when the guy was going for a TD, another official threw a flag just to make sure it would come back.
Then Campbell's TD came back on yet another bad call.

I see calls like this two or three times a game every week in the NFL, so it would be easy to say two things....

1) Games are being fixed
2) Games are not being fixed, the calls are just too tough to make

#2 is what the media and the NFL always hang their hat on, and it's impossible to prove otherwise.

Someone on this board posted the comment that the only people that moan about `fixed games` are the one`s that lose.....I tend to agree ....I also had the Bears,(+10.) and I can tell you, they called more penalties on them than the Vikes....You just can`t give a tough team like the Bears 9-10 pts., and not expect some misery....I will take them and those pts. against ANY team ANYWHERE......GL today

I didn't see the game. I did bet Da Bears. Does one really believe that when a referee throws a flag early in a kick return he knows the the outcome of that play? The flags are thrown early. There's many questionable calls in the NFL. The ref can throw a flag on every single play.

With all due respect. If one looks at the box score it paints an entirely different picture than what's posted in this thread.

Da Bears 14 penalties 101 yards
Minny 11 penalties 70 yards.

Da Bears 1 First Down from a penalty. Minny four FDs off a penalty.

I guess it was the refs that caused the 4 fumbles and 2 turnovers by MInny.

NC had this game as their GOY. Many bettors treat NC as GOD especially with their GOY picks. I heard all this whining during pre-season. NC was the king of preseason. This year they hit 30%.

Officiating all around was pathetic in this game. The penalties on Campbell's kick return were bad, but what about when they called pass interference on Minnesota then picked up the flag because the ball was "tipped"? Nobody came within 6 feet of that pass, which would have given the Bears a huge first down in Minn. territory? And the Bears 2-pt conversion? Whoever that left end for Minny is was 3 feet offsides, they threw a flag, and picked it up. Absolutely pathetic no matter what way you look at it.

As for the game, I don't know if it's the O-Coord. for Minnesota or Tice, but Good God the play calling was awful. 1st and goal at the 2 and they throw three times (the last one a TD), a botched FG, a missed FG, another turnover in the red zone. I was surprised they kept trying to run the ball early, when it was clear that the Bears secondary couldn't cover anybody.
