Do you get paid by clicks on the ads above? If so then you dont want to limit the people who visit.

How does limiting the free service reduce costs? I would suggest if people want service plays then maybe have then go to your sister site, or pay for a consensus site if you have such a thing?

I think it would be worth an ammt per person knowing they are getting the cream of the crop in service plays?

it appears that the Service Thread is taking the most hits

I am sure many of these are non-members. Much of what is posted in the Service Thread is also cut ans pasted to other Sites.
I am sure it is going to get worse as the Football Season progresses.

A couple of options that may help

1. Have a thread for FREE Service plays only
2. Have a thread for AcTUAL Service Plays

also since the Service Thread seems to take the most hits maybe you should charge a small monthly fee for access to that thread.

you could charge based on some of the following

1. Number of post
2. Date of membership
3. Major contributor to the Thread

as the Number of post or Date of Membership increases the access fee would decrease.

Major contributors who actually pay for the Services that they post could possiabley get free membership to the Service Thread to conpensate for what they paid for their Services (no proof of purchase necessary)

Bye charging access to the Service Thread we might be able to keep some of the Regular Services lurking there to see if their plays are being posted or not otu of the Service thread. BC could control their access based on IPs.

With the amount of membership I am sure the fee would be mimiumal.

Hope I do not open a can of worms with this as it is just a suggestion.

I vote #1. I was a lurker for almost a year. I signed up because I felt I was getting great info and plays from many of the outstanding cappers on here, and when I can help out at all I do.
I signed up mainly to show my appreciation to many of you on here. I dont have much too offer as far as service plays go, but I enjoy the site and post my plays and am glad to be a tiny part of this great site.

Another similar non-sports forum site had two different levels of registration. Pay members and non-pay members.

During peak times the non-payment members couldn't access the site.

I for one would gladly pay a small fee for the benefits this site offers. It's not fair the financial burden has to rest on one or a few individuals.
