Pimp. Life is in three stages. The I'm just a kid stage where everything is fun and responsibility is a nasty world. Stage 2 is where you are now heading and its when you realize there is so much more to life than what you have been doing. This will be the best part of your life and will hopefully last a very long time. Stage 3 is the last part of your life where you have less responsibility and more freedom than before but something is missing. And then it hits you. You haven't posted to your friends at BettorsChat in 40 years. And now you can and its a good feeling. Till then Pimp, I wish you the best. Geez, this is like signing your high school yearbook.

              Sandy

PS: You can sneek over here sooner if you want.

                    Congratulations on the engagement.

You sound like me when I got engaged 5 years ago and happily married for the last 4.

If I could peg this right I'm guessing just a hunch here someone is telling you if you put all that energy into something worthwhile you just might be the next president for NSS.

Give it time, being engaged is a new thing, enjoy it.

Think of your sports betting like this. Its a job, a job you can do at home. Sure its a grind but so is the average 9-5 job. No reason why you can't have a part-time job as a gambler. If its bringing in a income that is all that matters.

I'm guessing the thing that is getting to her is you checking the scores all the time. This is the hard part. You have to learn to mentally block it out for the evening, the scores that is. I wager the same amount on the majority of my games. I put them in at 10 am and check them when her and the little one are in bed. Than I spend a few hours that night capping and going over my notes. If you find that your still checking the scores, lower your wagers even if your winning. A win's a win and a lose is a lose nothing you can do about it, so why worry about it. It's sounds right now it has consumed you and your taking the right steps bye backing off. Take some time off, and enjoy yourself! Life to short.

Oh and if your really going to quit, give it up or whatever your doing. You really have to stop checking the forums. That's like a alcoholic who quits drinking but still going to go to the bar because he enjoys the conversation.

                    Its in the blood.....................
Nothing you can do about it!!!!

Best of luck you will be missed. One of the only reason I come to this forum is to read your post other than that its become a soap opera with all the fighing!!!!!!
