College and Pro Sports Website
I don't usually use services but this one interested me b/c it was software that you could modify. They let me sign up for NFL and College free and they have been great. Figured I could post them if you want them. So far in PreSeason NFL they are:
12-4-1 +23.5*
I have kept my own record of them and will keep record of what I post here.
Tonight
2* Eagles -3
I hope I am not jinxing them by posting their plays but they have been great! Good luck!

FACTS SHEET
Subject: FACTS SHEET
Message: NFL -August 20
Aug 20 TAMPA
4:30 PM JACKSONVILLE
Key Facts: Tampa is 2-0 in the pre-season vs. JAX, the Fact is simple, I watched the Bucs blitz Cincinnati with 25 seconds left winning by 2tds that with the fact that Griese & Simms looked impressive in the 2-3 spot and we see more of Brad Johnson here. JAX, has not direction on offense, it?s just a bad team who needs to fill holes. Tampa needs wins, JAX needs miracles
Suggested Play: Tampa by 9 or more.
NFL -August 20
Aug 20 BALTIMORE +3-105 o32 ½-110 +145
5:00 PM PHILADELPHIA -3-115 u32 ½ -110 -165
Key Facts: Again another simple one. I have seen the Ravens play like a team that really wants to win and they did. I like the fact they continue to use a mixture of defensive schemes for 4 quarters and offensively with Fassel having input on the play calling, he has loosened up Coach Billick?s conservative style. Same old Philly store, they don?t play well in pre-season and will not start now.
Suggested Play: Ravens by 10 points.
NFL -August 21
Aug 21 WASHINGTON +1 ½ -110 o33-110 +110
4:30 PM MIAMI -1 ½ -110 u33-110 -130
Key Facts: The Redskins have gone under their last 6 pre-season games and they just haven?t grasped the Gibbs offense yet. Miami lives and dies by defense and they have problems scoring as well. Look for a ball control game and very low scoring.
Suggested Play: Very solid UNDER, you may not even see 20 points
NFL -August 21
Aug 21 7:00pm SAN DIEGO +3-120 O34 ½ -110 +135
ARIZONA -3EV U34 ½ -110 -155
Key Facts: Expect temperatures close to 100 degrees at kick off and no one likes playing in Tempe in the pre-season. San Diego will shuffle in many players, going 4 and 5 deep to avoid dehydration and cramping. Arizona is used to this weather and actually is the better team.
Suggested Play: Arizona wins by 2 touchdowns.GLTA

Saskatchewan and Edmonton Under 55.5
Saskatchewan offense has looked better the last two weeks but that was against some of the worse teams in the league. The Roughriders defense has been solid for most of the year. I expect Saskatchewan to play more of a ball control offense in this one. Edmonton will try to get back on track after two losses by running a lot of Mike Pringle which will feed into the under.

CHOKE YOUR BOOKIE
AUG: 12-6
Free pick of the Day: 2-2 this week, 5-2 last week
8-20-04- Mariners/ Tigers
Winner: Over 8.5
REASON: They slipped on this over/under. I watched Robertson pitch the other night when he got in the shouting match with Pudge. The guy has no poise. Now combine this with Seattle hitting .358 against lefties in their last 10. Robertson also has a 11.05 ERA in his last 3 and the Tigers have lost his last 5 starts. Why I am not picking the Mariners to win? Well in that same game I watched Robertson pitch, I saw the Tigers hit solidly throughout. They hit bombs left and right. No matter if the Mariners throw Villone or Moyer the Tigers are gonna hit. This makes for an easy over.

Big Al and Scott's 7-game Combo Package--Save $$$.
Al McMordie's 4 selections include the Jaguars, Ravens, and Falcons in football, and the Orioles in baseball. Scott's 3 selections include the Yankees, Dodgers, and
1.) Atlanta Falcons--At 7:30 pm, our selection is on the Atlanta Falcons, who lost last week 24-0 to Baltimore. But in the preseason, home teams off a 20-point (or greater) road loss are a solid 15-8 ATS vs. foes off a SU/ATS win, and home or neutral favorites are 11-6 ATS off a shutout loss. Take Atlanta.
2.) Jacksonville Jaguars--At 7:30 pm, our selection is on Jacksonville, who lost 16-5 at Miami last week. But NFL teams that failed to score 6 or more points in Week 1 of the Preseason are a solid 24-12 ATS in Week 2. Take the Jaguars.
3.) Baltimore Ravens--At 8:00 pm, our selection is on the Ravens over Philadelphia, as we'll back Brian Billick's crew, who shut out Atlanta 24-0 last week. Now, the Ravens have been installed as an Underdog on the road vs. Philly, but Preseason road dogs of less than 4 points are an awesome 10-0 SU and ATS over the past 21 years, if they are off a shutout win. Take Baltimore.
4.) Baltimore Orioles--At 7:35 pm, our selection is on the Baltimore Orioles, who have won 8 of their last 11 home games. Tonight, Dave Borkowski will get the ball for the Birds, and he's won 8 of 10 at home in his career starts, including 3-0 this year with a 2.33 ERA and 0.96 WHIP. Meanwhile, Toronto has really struggled away from Skydome this year. They've now dropped 18 of their last 21 road games, and they're an astonishing 0-12 this year away from home vs. good pitchers who have a WHIP of 1.30 or less (Borkowski's WHIP is 1.26). Last weekend, Josh Towers and the Jays beat Borkowski and Baltimore 7-2. Revenge is sweet. Take the Orioles tonight. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.
5.) Florida--Take the Marlins with Willis vs. Lawrence at 10:05pm.
While the Marlins attempt to get closer to the top of the wild card standings, the Padres seem to be pulling an August fade. San Diego has not played well this month in their new digs! The Pads are just 2-8 at home in August and have allowed 5 or more runs in 6 of those 8 defeats.
RHS Brian Lawrence is beginning to show signs of problems he had during the 2001-02 season. His set-up pitch is a low sinker, allowing him to get ahead in the count or to force ground balls. But over his last 7 starts, his ERA is a climbing 4.70, including 0-3, with a 5.94 ERA in August! The sinker isn’t getting low in the zone, which renders his breaking slider, (his strikeout pitch), less effective.
But his biggest problem is his ineffectiveness against left-handed batters. Lawrence added a bit of a side-arm pitch to his arsenal two years ago to use against lefties. Unfortunately, he’s struggled with it since early July. On Friday, he will face a Marlin lineup that will feature 4 lefties, including the 2 at the top of the order in Pierre and Castillo.
Florida’s Dontrelle Willis gets the start at Petco. He’s 2-2 in his last 4 outings, but those 2 losses were no fault of his own. Willis owns a sizzling 2.54 ERA in those 4 starts, he just didn't receive a lot of help from the plate in the losses. That problem should be resolved with the help of the left-handed hitters the Marlins will send to the plate against Lawrence.
I’m backing the Marlins, with Willis to hand San Diego their 7th loss in Lawrence’s last 8 starts...Scott.
6.) New York Yankees--I'm taking the home- standing Yankees with Lieber over Ortiz. August has not been a good month for the Angel righty! Coming into 2004, Ortiz sported a hefty 5.26 ERA over the past 3 seasons in the month of August. This season has been even worse. In 3 August appearances, Ortiz owns a terrible 6.87 ERA!
He has complained over the past 15 months of having no power in his arm at times. So, he cannot count on his fastball being there for him on any kind of consistent basis. In fact, it has failed him more often than not as the season wears on. Struggling like he is, Ortiz is a sacrificial lamb at NY tonight.
The Yanks are 25-11 and average almost 6 RPG at home against RHS! NY has won 7 of 9 Lieber home starts this season. He's pitched well this year against Anaheim, with a 2-0 mark and a 2.87 ERA! I look for Lieber to get plenty of support and the Yanks to move to 8-2 at home when Lieber toes the rubber! Take the Yanks with Lieber over Ortiz...Scott.
7.) Los Angeles--I'm taking the Dodgers tonight with Lima facing Thomson. Seven Smash Mouth pitching-to-hitting angles come up in this matchup. The Dodgers, with Lima, own a 6-1, 86%, positive to negative ratio in those categories! Also, LA has won 8 of Lima's last 9 trips to the mound, and the veteran RH has been solid when the sun goes down, going 8-2 in night games this season, with a 3.64 ERA.
Thomson's MBA is a little high, a tad over 13. What's striking is that except for a 3-game stretch against the Pirates, Astros, & Brewers, Thomson has let too many hitters on base, per IP! In fact, besides the 3 games mentioned above, in his other 5 most recent starts, Thomson has allowed an MLB per game of 14.8 or higher! Looks like potential signs of a starter weakening as the season progresses.
He doesn't match up well in this one and I'm backing LA with Lima vs. Thomson. Thanks! And, Good Luck, Scott.....CUZ I'M RICK JAMES BBYYAATTTCCCHHH!!! Show Charlie Murphy ya titties!!

SPORTWIZARDS
NFL Preseason Picks
7-1 YTD +8 Units
Tampa Bay -3: 1 Unit
The Bucs are a great preseason team and were 3-0 in preseason play last year, and already 1-0 this year. They have a solid rotation of QB's with Griese and Johnson. Jacksonville played just horrible against Miami in their last outing, and I think they have a lot of flaws they still need to work out.
-------------------------------
TONY GEORGE COMP
NY Mets (Trachsel) -150 vs San Francisco (Lowry)
The Giants have a lot of revenge as they play the Mets tonight. The Mets swept the Giants back in May. But tonight Lowry is on a 2-0 run pitching 33 innings and has 31 strikeouts, 9 walks, and given up olny 2 homers. The Giants win tonight.
Take the Giants

WUNDERDOG
AUG: 8-9
*Cleveland (-108) vs. Minnesota (Westbrook vs. Lohse)
Top two teams in the AL matchup. Cleveland is 23-14 (+13.3 Units) against the money line after a game as a road underdog this season. Home teams with a money line of -100 to -150 allowing 4.7 or less runs/game on the season (AL), after allowing 9 runs or more are 73-45 since 1997. Lohse has a 5.49 ERA on the season and 6.87 over las three games. Westrbook counters with 3.51 ERA. One unit on the Indians.

FRIDAY NFLX 4* PLAY
Message: Baltimore vs Philadelphia
Another nice 4* winner with Atlanta last night, here is our 4* NFLX Play for Friday!
This is preseason but to the Ravens "D" it's another chance to tee off on someone. In years past the Ravens Team has gone the way of the Defense, ball control offense and killer "D". This team will have a different look on the offensive side of the ball with the addition of Jim Fassel to the team. The Ravens wont be as conservitive on offense with Fassel's input on play calling, they should be more wide open and try and stretch the field a little more. On the other side you have Philly who is still Philly, not much has changed and they have never been a winning proposition in the preseason. With this being said we will have to take the points and play the dog.
4* Baltimore +3
As Always Good Luck!
