Cincinnati seems to be packing it in early. I'm assuming they'll lose the suspended game this morning and that will bode well for today's regularly scheduled tilt. Pettitte's been phenomenal on the road this year with a 4-0 record and 2.19 ERA while Claussen's pitched just over 10 innings. Cincinnati's hit just .211 over their last seven games while Houston's hitting .304 over the same span. Pettitte will be too much for the Reds today. Houston is 26-16 against Cincinnati over the last three years. One unit on Pettitte and the Astros in this afternoon's game.

Escobar hasn't pitched that well of late. His ERA in his last three is 5.40. Anaheim hasn't fared well in games he has pitched. The Angels are 7-13 in games he has pitched and they have dropped the last three. Blackley is a lefty that has got pounded to the tune of a 13.09 ERA in his last three. The Angels are hitting .309 against lefties in the last 10. Seattle has gone over eight of last 11 meetings with Anaheim.

Tonight we go with Texas over Oakland, and Barry Zito.

This has always been a tough chore for the Rangers, to face Zito, but tonight will not be as difficult as the Rangers roll in riding huge momentum after regaininng first place with a huge win last night.

Ryan Drese takes the mound Saturday for the Rangers, seeking another quality start and his fourth consecutive victory.

Drese has won his last three starts and Texas has won the last five in which he has pitched. During that span, he has seen his ERA drop significantly from 3.82 to 3.47 - seventh in the American League.

Drese has also risen to the top spot in home ERA, leading the league with a 1.98 mark. Drese is 6-1 at Ameriquest Field in Arlington this year in 10 appearances, nine starts.

Texas snapped its three-game losing streak last night with a five-run eighth inning to move one-half game ahead of Oakland in the AL West, and tonight the momentum is stronger!!!
