6/29/04: Free Play from Prime Sports Picks
ANAHEIM (Escobar) +125 at OAKLAND (Mulder) -135:
MLB - 10:05PM (EST)
Mark Mulder has been just awesome this season leading the AL in ERA & complete games, not to mentioned winning 7 consecutive decisions. At home he is a perfect (5-0) in 8 starts with a 2.98 ERA. In his 15 games this season, Mulder has allowed 3 or less runs 13 times.
While Kelvin Escobar has done a nice job for the Angles, he is just (1-2) against Oakland this season & has not won a game on the road since April – going (0-2) with a 4.50 ERA in 4 starts during that stretch.
Anaheim is (5-10) in their last 15 games on the road, while the A’s are (12-3) in their last 15 home games. Also, Oakland took 2 of 3 last week in Anaheim – including a win by Mulder over Escobar.
Go with the A’s here at home on Tuesday night with one of the best pitchers in the game on the mound.
Best of luck,
-Drew
