    Savage,

I think that is his gold pick, they have been hitting well as of late. If we do not see the 100* by 1130, I will get it and post!!!!

      mel stewart

      FYI-
I listened to mel stewart's audio message on his annoying website (take me out to the ballgame plays and there's no way to mute it unless you do it on your computer). he says that he has not had a losing week all year in bb (one "break even week"). he also claims that he went 3-3 last night which is refreshing because if you read the posts around here, you'd think he was superman and never loses. anyway, what I don't like is within his service, he offers "rated" and unrated" plays. the rated plays are $750 a month while the unrated are $500 a month. so, do you go with the "shitty" plays for $500 or the "good" plays for $750. kind of lame setup imo. not trying to bash this guy or anyone here, just think everyone is curious and wants to know more about melvin (since there's no way to monitor him). this is what mel says on his site about his record:

      Baseball Making Big Money
      Smoking 18-4-1 last 23 34-12-1 Total
3-0- last nite. With big DOUBLE play winner
Three plays including my next double 4:05 start
      Eleven straight winning days.

I'd be willing to throw up $10, if we can get 75 others to try out his service for a month. then we could stop hearing about how great he is and see for ourselves!

That pick from Sebastioan is his daily free pick. Don't know what it's rating is. The money figure is based on betting to win $100 per pick

Read my "De-bunking Handicapping Myths" thread. You could probably add a few.

                      Fats, Savage1

                      Be careful about trusting Sebastian.

He was trying to get his clients involved in some nutrition company pyramid scheme. Also, he is famous for "fuzzy math" when it comes to his ratings system. He'll have a 100* advertised on his website and have it as a 200* on his phone line for the same play. The next day if it loses, he'll count it as the lower rating. In fact, he sarted only doing 5* and 20* plays.

My favorite story was during the NBA Finals a few weeks ago, he told his clients that there was a huge play that night. He has "inside info" from one of his "millionaire gambler friends who bets $100K per game. He sent his runners out that morning to bet $300K on the Lakers that night". Of course the pick lost, it was one of his 200* locks. He then blamed it on the other guy.

One of the biggest hucksters around, and a bad Howard Stern imitator before he got booted off several of his morning radio shows........GL

4Realyo-in all due respect I thought he was a great sports talk show host when he was on the local station WNNZ during the several years he aired.
Also, he is up $36000 for baseball based on $100 a star.
my understanding that even though he rates game up to 100 or 200 stars, in actuality the ratings are based on a maximum of $2000 a game;thus whether he rates a game 100 or 200 stars doesn't mean that much as he would be telling folks to play it for 2K in either case.
I inquired about the nutritional scheme, and while it sounded pretty good on paper, I am retired and don't want to work at all.
Otherwise, it might have been worth a shot;it sounds like Amway.
Please tell me if/why I am incorrect in my assesment of his rating system and/or if you don't believe his customers are ahead $36000.
