Season record: 114-126 -24.08 UNITS
Lines from Pinnacle current as of 11:37pm Pacific on 06/07/04.
Five plays for Tuesday:
TOR (LILLY) -112 over LA (Nomo) - 1 UNIT - 4:05pm Pacific
Nomo will be making his first start from the DL in this game. He was not impressive in a rehab start at Triple-A. He gave up three runs on five hits and walked three in five innings. He reached only the mid-80s on the radat gun. It doesn't seem like he is fully healed. Whether or not he is completely healthy probably doesn't matter, as he was looking awful before hitting the DL. His Ks have been down, and his HR/9 have been up, even while pitching in Dodger Stadium. Toronto shouldn't have too much of a problem scoring off of him.
OVER 9 TOR (LILLY)/LA (NOMO) -119 - 1 UNIT - 4:05pm Pacific
LA has been hitting lefties extremely well, and they should be able to score some off of Lilly. In the end, I think Toronto will come out on top, but the Dodgers should be able to score also.
ARI (JOHNSON) -140 over Bal (Ponson) - 1 UNIT - 4:05pm Pacific
There's a huge gap in Baltimore's offensive production against righties and lefties. They have been pretty terrible against lefties, and given their inexperience against Johnson, it should be that much more difficult to hit him. Ponson has looked bad lately. Granted, it was against the Yankees, but his numbers have forecasted a collapse, so hopefully it can continue. The Dbacks should win behind the strength of Johnson, though.
UNDER 8 FLA (WILLIS)/CLE (LEE) +110 - 1 UNIT - 4:05pm Pacific
Both clubs perform below average against LHP. Willis has bounced back nicely with back-to-back quality starts, and it will be Cleveland's first time seeing his funky delivery, so I expect them to have problems against him. Lee's control problems are a little scary against a team like Florida, but he's been getting away with it for the most part. Florida's weakness against lefties will offset those concerns.
UNDER 8 NYM (GLAVINE)/MIN (RADKE) -102 - 1 UNIT - 5:10pm Pacific
New York's hitting has been terrible. Although Radke can blow up at any time, I think he'll be able to hold his own against this offense. Glavine has been pitching over his head, but I like the lefty matchup against the Twins.

69-39 64% +46 units
Oakland - 1.5 runs +105 over Cincinnati
A's have a great lefty on the mound in Barry Zito who is pitching well. Zito's ERA is under 2.00 in his last three. Reds are down right awful against lefties. Reds have unproven Bong going for them. A's are on a roll winning six of last seven. A's red hot at home.

MLB Milwaukee vs. Anaheim [2004-06-08]
Take Milwaukee Brewers
Reason: Ben Sheets has pitched too well this year for the Brewers to be this much of an underdog. Sheets is 5-3 on the year with a 2.71 ERA and an microscopic 0.945 WHIP, and he got off to a slow start! If we look at just the last 3 games, Sheets is 2-1 with a 1.57 ERA and 0.783 WHIP. Sure the Angels' line-up is far superior to the Brewers, but if Sheets can neutralize them, I feel like the Brewers will hit Kelvim Escobar enough to squeeze out a road victory.GLTA
