The Power Of Luck :

Which brings me to a study done over a ten year period in national periodicals it asked for over 1000 men and women from all walks of life to conduct this experiment . I believe it was Howard Wiseman and he went on for years giving out different examples as to choose from with his study . During shall we say a argument with certain individuals over at ********* , we put up a cash prize to the winner of a year long capping contest . It covered every sport and I was told that I would fall far short of winning it all , after putting up numbers which I had never done before (and sports I had NEVER paid attention to ) I managed to put a can of you know what on them .

After attaining #1 over there in several areas , and #1 ATS in baseball as we speak I was asked how come I was so lucky ?

Luck = Paying close attention to whats there , not what your looking for !

And its hard for the human mind to seperate the two , because of our bias we tend to search for what we want to see and not whats actually there . Wiseman had his subjects complete diaries , personality questionnaires , IQ tests , and many forms of other tests . Then he invited them to meet with him and let him conduct a far more detailed experiment for several weeks .

Open Your Mind :

Consider chance opprotunities , all people recieve them daily but many fail to take advantage of them (and call themselves unlucky) He gave everyone a newspaper and ask them to count the pictures in it , on avg. unlucky people spent two minutes looking at it and lucky people spent two seconds in the same test.

Why you asked ? ........ because on page two he told you to stop looking and gave you the number you where seeking , and even further on page three he told you to report it to him and recieve a 250.00 bonus .

I will elaborate even further , but at a later time about this subject because I have so many things to do yet but after reading about this I was convinced that being informed is all there is to luck (per-say) . And it was a very interesting experiment that gave many examples as to why and how some people actually fare much better than most .

2 Parlays and a 5-0 start to the day , with only S.F. left for the sweep and another parlay . Thanks to JAG , SoG , fats and SPARK and all others for the well wishes .
