    winning points

    Detroit over Indiana* by 4
A greater Pistonian presence in the paint than they had
in Game 1 figures to take place in this one.

Also, the refs did their ''let's get one for the home team''
routine in Game 1, as the Pistons' big players were in foul
trouble early. That is unlikely to happen once again, because
fans who aren't from Detroit or Indiana will turn it
off faster than you can say Mehmet Okur if they're not
    watching the starters.

ANAHEIM (Lackey) +110 over TORONTO (J. Miller)

John Lackey has had his ups and downs, but he was
effective in a loss to the Yankees last week, and we like
the visitor's chances of staying hot. Anaheim has the best
    record in baseball (29-15), including a 20-11 (+$930) mark
against righthanders, with 5.6 runs per game in those contests.
The Blue Jays are terrible at Skydome, with a 5-9 (-$515)
record at home vs. righties. On a day with little to choose from,
this game is by far the best value.

      LINECRUSHER

      Plays for Monday, May 24th
      6:00 Eastern Update

      2*Detroit +4 over Indiana
The winner of game #1 goes on to win the series over 80% of the time and that has been the case thus far this playoff season as the game #1 winner has won 10 of the 12 series. Critical game for the Pistons having lost game #1 as a loss here would mean Detroit would have to win 4 of the next 5 games being down 0-2. We should get the Pistons best effort tonight knowing how critical game #2 is after a game #1 loss. The Pacers had the advantage for game #1 with 3 days rest plus home court while the Pistons only had 1 days rest between series. No advantage tonight other than home court with both teams having 1 days rest.

if anyone doesn't believe that games are called differently from game to game in a playoff series is downright naive. the NBA is the most revenue conscious pro league in the world. david stern will nickel and dime his way to the bank. 7 games are encouraged!

Do you have access to the animal on a daily basis? I have a consensus report which is unreliable.

Will need some fastbreaks for JB's over. RFC
