4-0 and +444.81 brings the season to 19-11 and +1,214.01 for our $100 player. It would be tempting to go nuts on a 10-0 hot streak, but let's remain where we are with the units and continue playing a flat unit on each pick. One of the beauties of baseball is that it is still early in the season with a long way to go to October, with action almost every day. No other sport offers the same opportunities.
    **********

Phillies (Padilla) Expos (Day) UNDER 8.5, -120
The Expos are stone cold at the plate and Day is in the kind of form that will make it tough on the light hitting Phillies to put up much either. Brian Gorman behind the plate with a 2-1 strikeout to walk ratio. It works.
Cardinals (Suppan) Brewers (Sheets) UNDER 9.5, -120
Cold bats, one respectable starter and one stud coupled with Fletcher Martin behind the plate, works again.
Braves (Thomson) Marlins (Willis) UNDER 8, -124
Thomson is in good shape, Willis in superb shape, both teams down a little in the offense and Fletcher Andrews behind the plate really works.
INDIANS (WESTBROOK) +115 at Tigers (Johnson)
Jake Westbrook did his darndest to cost us one the other night, relieving D'Amico and going 7 innings without putting a man on, 0 hits, 0 walks and 7 k's. I noted last week that all ALCentral dogs will be dangerous versus each other and since the Tigers won for us yesterday as a short favorite, I like the Indians to avoid the sweep with Westbrook getting his chance to start.
ORIOLES (PONSON) +103 over Blue Jays (Halladay)
There is a lot of Halladay's Cy Young Award built into this line. I love the guy myself and believe he will recoup and make us a few bucks yet this season, but it is not yet the time. At this point the Jay's still can't hit a lick and Ponson himself is due to turn it up a notch at home. False favorite, take the odds.
    ************
Also on the subject of memory. Some guys doing very well on the bases this early in the season. That's fine and I am glad the good folks here are receiiving some nice free winners. Regarding August, September and October for the past few years, who was around then?

    Good luck,
    Chris

                            Dunkel Index - Sunday

Here's today's Dunkel - Yesterday they were 1-1 with a nice win with Texas at +140 and a Dodger loss at Even . (I'm still contemplating wagering on teams that are rated " Even " that Dunkel favors to win .... the jury is still out and only time will tell )

                            SUNDAY, APRIL 25

                            National League

                            American League

Boston (Martinez) 10.16 (1 1/2) New York Yankees* (Vazquez) 8.88

                            Detroit* (Johnson) 9.91 (1 1/2) Cleveland (Westbrook) 8.28

                            Baltimore* (Ponson) 9.75 (1 1/2) Toronto (Halladay) 8.02

                            Oakland* (Harden) 11.09 (1 1/2) Anaheim (Ortiz) 9.38

There are 4 plays today :

                            Cincinnati +115
                            Baltimore Even
                            Texas + 140
                            Minnesota +115

                            Notes:

Dunkel seems to be high on Texas .... they've been playing on them every day and we've been doing well with them .

Also - For those who are comfortable laying 165 they rate the Cubs by 3 1/2 runs over the Mets which is a strong number . I'll pass that one .

Good luck today all ! - Neil

Anyone with Stan Lisowski's plays? He's been HOT.
NSA's NBA Game Of The Year was on Dallas -4.5 on March 31. Orlando won 108-99. It was a cloudy day for Sonny LaFouchi.

                                Re Dunkel Index...

I brought out one yesterday that was -110 and Dunkel showed 3 better...Detroit Tigers...They covered---winning 5-2....I stipulated at that time 3-4 differencial is good to look for...You may want to add this to your monitoring list...I monitored Dunkel/Mejia for years, and found them to be very helpful in certain cases...
