2* BOSTON (+10) VS. INDIANA ACTION 8:35 EST
The Celtics were severely outclassed in game 1 as the Pacers had their way both offensively and defensively. The biggest reason for the blowout was due to Ron Artest's fantastic display of defense on the C's primary scorer. He limited Paul Pierce to 20 points on 5 of 18 shooting, and forced him to turn the ball over 8 times. Mr. Artest won't be in uniform tonight due to his one-game suspension, and I fully expect Pierce to put the C's on his back tonight. This is an excellent chance for them to even up the series, and turn the pressure up back home in the Fleet center. The Pacers have already shown an ability to perform well in the regular season without their stars in the lineup, but we're going to test their mettle in the second season. I can't stress how huge Artest's absence is for this game. He's the best defender in the league. Pierce will take advantage. I also like the fact that the C's were blown out in game 1. In the playoffs after a whitewash, more times than not, the second game is usually an all out war.

    o218.0 / 2 units 2* DALLAS/SACRAMENTO OVER 218' ACTION 9:35 EST
A strange thing happened in the 4th quarter of game 1. The Kings actually played some solid defense, and were able to pull away for the win and cover. The halftime score was 65-63, and each team had no problems scoring on one another. The score was 86-85 in favor of Sacramento heading into the 4th, and then the Kings put forth a 16-6 run fueled by their defense to run away and hide. Dirk Nowitzki was the main man for the Mavs as he scored 32 points, but the other 2 of the big 3 had an atrocious afternoon. Walker and Finley combined for just 18 points on 7 of 24 shooting. There's no way those 2 mirror their game 1 performances, and I fully expect the Mavs to be in this one all the way through. Small ball caught up with them in the 4th as the one team that plays "D" did, but I look for the Mavs to have the answer for tonight. Steve Nash is the wild card. He must not get discouraged by his poor play in game 1, and bring it. He's the ringleader of the small ball circus, and game 2 of this series sets up beautifully for a high scoring barnburner. The Mavs are the younger, and more athletic squad. They have the horses to tire out the Kings in round 2 of this battle. I expect the loser of this game to score at least 100+ points. Game 1 crawled over the closing total, but I expect this one to fly over as long as the Mavs show up in the 4th quarter.
