        MLB BASEBALL
        San Francisco @ San Diego
        Pick: OVER 8.5
        Time: 10:05 PM EST

Today the Vegas Sports Insiders look for San Francisco and San Diego to score over 8.5 runs, when they matchup tonight in San Diego.

After coming within inches of making history, Barry Bonds will resume his pursuit of his godfather Willie Mays for third place on the career home run
ist when the San Francisco Giants meet the San Diego Padres in the middle game of their weekend series.

Bonds, one home run away from tying Mays at 660, hit a sixth-inning drive to center field on Thursday that the Padres' Jay Payton caught at the top of the fence in San Francisco's 4-3 loss.

Replays were inconclusive whether Payton's catch saved a homer. Payton wasn't sure if the ball would have gone out.

Bonds, who normally hits well against the Padres, went 0-for-4 with an intentional walk and remained at 659 home runs. Babe Ruth is second with 714, and Aaron is leader with 755.

Bonds now faces a pitcher he has had good success against -- Brian Lawrence. Bonds is 8-for-16 with two home runs and two doubles against him.

The Padres beat the Giants on Sean Burroughs' 10th-inning single in the first game at long-awaited Petco Park.

When you post this you may want to state that it is their FREE PICK.
Oh, this is the worst-looking hat I ever saw. What, when you buy a hat like this I bet you get a free bowl of soup, huh? Oh, it looks good on you though.

                    NBA Basketball
                    Orlando +11 over Detroit
The Pistons have not been on the road for a while and should be a little rusty. The Magic have lost a ton of games, but still should keep this game close enough to cover the number.

                    Major League Baseball
                    Giants +115 over Padres
                    Rueter vs. Lawerence
Kirk Rueter is 11-2 with a 3.29 ERA when facing the Padres, while Brian Lawrence has never beaten the Giants in his career. San Fran seems like a good value.
It's not whether you get knocked down, It's whether you get back up again!
