Chance of rain in San Francisco Sunday

According to weather forecasts, there is a 58 percent possibility of rain in Santa Clara when the San Francisco 49ers host the Atlanta Falcons at Levi's Stadium Sunday afternoon.

Temperatures in Santa Clara will be in the low-60s and wind is expected to blow across the field at around six miles per hour during game time.

Books opened the struggling 49ers as 4-point home underdogs but that has since moved all the way to +7.5. The total is down to 44 from the opening 45.

Rain, thunderstorms possible in Tampa Bay Sunday

Weather forecasts are expecting a 73 percent possibility of of rain and thunderstorms in Tampa Bay when the Buccaneers host the New York Giants Sunday afternoon.

Temperatures in Tampa will be in the low-80s/high70s during the game with wind expected to blow across the field at around six miles per hour.

The Bucs are presently 2.5-point home dogs, the same number as open, but the total has increased to 50 from the opening number of 47.

Dolphins are a dreadful bet against division foes

The Dan Campbell era got off to a flying start as the Miami Dolphins won back-to-back games for their new hew head coach, but that came to a screeching halt at the New England Patriots last week. The Pats defeated the Dolphins 36-7, but losing within the AFC East, and especially against the spread, is nothing new for the Dolphins.

The Dolphins will visit another AFC East foe, the Buffalo Bills, Sunday afternoon, and have posted a record of 1-5 straight up and 0-6 against the spread in their last six games against division opponents.

The one time the Fish won outright was in Week 13 of last season when they prevailed 16-13 at the New York Jets, but couldn't cover the number as 6.5-point road favorites.

This week, the Dolphins are getting 2.5-point after opening +3.

Saints getting hot for backers in past six weeks

The New Orleans Saints have been a very hot wager of late, posting a record of 4-1-1 against the spread over the course of their last six games.

They managed a push in their 52-49 win as 3-point home favorites over the New York Giants one week ago.

The Saints began the season with a pair of straight up and ATS losses at the Arizona Cardinals and versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but things have gotten better and they're riding a three-game winning streak into Sunday's meeting with the Tennessee Titans.

Books opened the Saints as 7.5-point home favorites with the struggling Titans in town.

Titans on miserable run dating back to 2014

The Tennessee Titans have lost a whopping 16 of their last 17 games overall dating back to last season and have gone an almost-as-dreadful 5-12 against the spread in those games.

Remember when things looked so promising following a great performance from rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota in a 42-14 Week 1 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? That was the only time the Titans have covered in that stretch, which dates back to Week 7 of last season.

Titans backers (if you're still out there) will look for better results as Mariota and Co. are tabbed as 7.5-point road underdogs at the New Orleans Saints.

Sunday Night Football betting preview: Eagles at Cowboys
      ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The underdog has gone 6-0 against the spread in the previous six contests between the Eagles and Cowboys.

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys (+3, 44)

The Dallas Cowboys have lost five games in a row but still have a pulse in the division race thanks to the pedestrian state of the NFC East. That being said, the Cowboys are pretty much in a must-win situation when they host the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night in a matchup that marks the return of DeMarco Murray to Dallas.

Murray, who led the league in rushing with 1,845 yards for the Cowboys last season before he was allowed to walk as a free agent, had a dismal performance in a 20-10 loss to Dallas in September, rushing for two yards on 13 yards. "There (are) no regrets on my part and no regrets on their part," Murray said. "I respect those guys. Great organization, spent a lot of time there, but I'm here now." Dallas quarterback Tony Romo suffered a broken collarbone in the Week 2 win over the Eagles and his team hasn't won since. While Philadelphia is coming off a bye, Dallas' losing streak reached five with a 13-12 home defeat to Seattle.

      TV:
      8:30 p.m. ET, NBC.

      LINE HISTORY:
The Eagles are now 3-point road faves after opening -2.5. The total is down to 43.5 from the opening 44.5.

      INJURY REPORT:

Eagles - RB Ryan Mathews (Probable, groin), DE Brandon Blair (Probable, groin), WR Nelson Agholor (Probable, ankle), LB Kiko Alonso (Probable, knee), LB DeMeco Ryans (Questionable, hamstring), T Jason Peters (Out, back), Travis Long (I-R, knee), T Andrew Gardner (I-R, foot), K Cody Parkey (I-R, groin), C David Molk (I-R, bicep), DB JaCorey Shepherd (I-R, knee).

Cowboys - QB Matt Cassel (Probable, knee), WR Dez Bryant (Questionable, foot), S Barry Church (Questionable, leg), WR Brice Butler (Questionable, hamstring), RB Lance Dunbar (I-R, knee), QB Tony Romo (I-R, collarbone), DT Terrell McClain (I-R, toe), OL Chaz Green (I-R, hip), LB Mark Nzeocha (I-R, knee), CB Orlando Scandrick (I-R, knee).

      WEATHER:
      N/A

      POWER RANKINGS:
      Eagles (-1.0) - Cowboys (+3.5) + home field (-3.0) = Eagles -1.5

      WHAT CAPPERS SAY:
"Offseason acquisitions are not panning out. Sam Bradford?'s 76.4 QB rating ranks No. 30 out of 32 NFL starting quarterbacks and DeMarco Murray has only 307 rushing yards at 3.5 per carry. The Cowboys moribund offense without Tony Romo didn?'t get into the end zone on Sunday, held to 220 yards and 14 first downs; negating a stellar defensive effort." Covers Expert Teddy Covers.

      WHAT BOOKS SAY:
"We opened the Eagles as 3-point faves on the road in Dallas and have not moved off this number as we have seen good two-way action. We did adjust the juice on the line moving from Eagles -3 (-105) to -3 (-110) and the Cowboys +3 (-115) to Cowboys +3 (-110). The Eagles are seeing over 65 percent of the action to cover the 3 point spread."

      ABOUT THE EAGLES (3-4 SU, 3-4 ATS, 1-6 O/U):
Philadelphia appeared to turn a corner with a pair of decisive wins over New Orleans and the New York Giants, but the momentum stalled in a 27-16 loss at Carolina as Sam Bradford was limited to 205 yards and failed to throw a TD pass for the first time. Murray has elevated his game with 260 rushing yards over the past three games, but he has been outperformed by fellow free-agent signee Ryan Mathews, who has run for 35 more yards on 32 fewer carries. Bradford has tossed six interceptions in the past three games and was picked off twice by the Cowboys in Week 2.

      ABOUT THE COWBOYS (2-5 SU, 2-5 ATS, 3-4 O/U):
Dallas' backfield is in disarray as Murray's expected replacement, Joseph Randle, was released this week amid reports of behavioral issues and the fact that he was faced a league-mandated suspension. Darren McFadden erupted for 152 yards in a loss to the Giants on Oct. 25, but he was held to 64 yards on 20 carries by a Seattle defense that also spoiled the return of wideout Dez Bryant, who had two catches for 12 yards in his first game since suffering a broken bone in his foot. Matt Cassel has thrown for 324 yards with one TD and three picks in two starts.

      TRENDS:

      * Under is 4-1 in the last five meetings.
      * Road team is 7-1 ATS in their last eight meetings.
      * Underdog is 6-0 ATS in their last six meetings.
      * Eagles are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games in November.

      CONSENSUS:
Sixty-one percent of users are backing the Eagles.

Essential Week 9 betting notes for NFL Sunday

The Raiders have won back-to-back games SU and ATS heading into Sunday's meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Green Bay Packers at Carolina Panthers (+2.5, 46.5)

        * Green Bay’s offensive struggles came to a head last week, when they managed only 50 yards through the air and 90 on the ground. Once one of the most prolific passing attacks in the league, the Packers have topped 300 yards in the air only once this season - though Aaron Rodgers has been efficient, completing 67.6 percent of his passes with 15 touchdowns against two interceptions.

        * Carolina looks to continue the best start in franchise history and maintain the inside track for the top seed in the NFC playoffs, while Green Bay hopes to bounce back from an ugly 29-10 loss at Denver.

Washington Redskins at New England Patriots (-14, 52)

        * The Redskins have faced two other teams from the AFC East so far this season, losing to the Miami Dolphins 17-10 as a 4-point home dog in Week 1 and 34-20 as a 7.5-point road dog at the New York Jets in Week 6.

        * The Patriots will be a double-digit favorite for the second time this season after covering as 14.5-point favorites against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3. The Pats are just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games as a double digit fave, however.

Tennessee Titans at New Orleans Saints (-7.5, 48)

        * Tennessee has lost 16 of its last 17 games dating back to last season and is 5-12 ATS in those games.

        * The Saints have been a very hot wager of late, posting a record of 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games heading into Week 9. They managed a push in a 52-49 win as 3-point home faves versus the New York Giants last week.

Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills (-2.5, 44)

        * The Dolphins have struggled to cash betting slips within the division, losing six-straight games against the spread versus the AFC East including an 0-3 SU and ATS mark versus the division this season.

        * Tyrod Taylor will return under center for the Bills Sunday. The Bills went 0-2 without the Virginia Tech product in the lineup, but went 3-2 SU and ATS with him.

St. Louis Rams at Minnesota Vikings (-1, 40)

        * Aside from running back Toddy Gurley, St. Louis' best weapon has been its defense - which has yielded just four field goals in the last two weeks. The under has gone 3-0 in the past three Rams' games thanks to their stout defense.

        * Stefon Diggs has provided some punch to Minnesota's ailing passing game, amassing 419 yards and two touchdowns in his last four contests. The Vikings have covered the spread in each of those four games.

Jacksonville Jaguars at New York Jets (-8, 42)

        * The Jaguars have been off since edging Buffalo in London two weeks ago to snap a four-game losing streak. Quarterback Blake Bortles rebounded from a costly interception, his eighth of the season, to toss a game-winning score to Allen Hurns in the final minutes. Bortles is tied for fifth in the league with 15 touchdown passes, but he'll face the NFL's second-ranked defense this week.

        * New York Jets coach Todd Bowles gave Ryan Fitzpatrick the thumbs up to start at quarterback when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Both Fitzpatrick, who suffered torn ligaments in his non-throwing thumb, and his backup, Geno Smith, were injured in last week's drubbing at Oakland, the Jets' second loss in a row.

Oakland Raiders at Pittsburgh Steelers (-4.5, 48)

        * The Raiders have not reached the halfway point of the season with a record better than .500 since 2001, when they were 6-2 and went on to win the AFC West with a 10-6 mark.

        * Pittsburgh has had difficulty putting up points of late, totaling 23 over its last two games in losses to Kansas City and Cincinnati. The Steelers lost more than a game last Sunday as Le'Veon Bell suffered a severe MCL injury in his right knee versus the Bengals and is done for the season.

New York Giants at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+2.5, 50)

        * Veteran Jason Pierre-Paul is in line to make his season debut following a horrific fireworks attack in July. He registered a team-high 12.5 sacks last season for the Giants, who have mustered a league-low nine in 2015.

        * Bucs rookie QB Jameis Winston didn't throw an interception for the third straight contest as the Buccaneers bounced back from surrendering a 24-point lead to post a 23-20 overtime victory over NFC South-rival Atlanta last week.

Atlanta Falcons at San Francisco 49ers (+7.5, 44)

        * The Atlanta Falcons have lost two of three with an ugly victory sandwiched in between and would like to get back on track heading into their bye week when they travel to San Francisco to face the struggling 49ers on Sunday. The Falcons have failed to cover the spread in four-straight games after cashing in their first four to begin the season.

        * San Francisco's offensive woes have led to a number of changes, as Blaine Gabbert will replace Colin Kaepernick as the starting quarterback Sunday without the services of tight end Vernon Davis, who was traded to Denver this week.

Denver Broncos at Indianapolis Colts (+5, 45.5)

        * Denver's new version of the Orange Crush defense is an impressive one, as it leads the league in sacks (29), scoring (16 points) and passing yards (171.9) per contest.

        * Undefeated within its division, Indianapolis has lost all five contests outside the AFC South and is 2-3 ATS in those non-division games.

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys (+3, 43.5)

        * Philadelphia appeared to turn a corner with a pair of decisive wins over New Orleans and the New York Giants, but the momentum stalled in a 27-16 loss at Carolina as Sam Bradford was limited to 205 yards and failed to throw a TD pass for the first time.

        * The Dallas Cowboys have lost five games in a row but still have a pulse in the division race thanks to the pedestrian state of the NFC East. They have gone 1-4 ATS in those five SU losses, but did cover as 4.5-point dogs in a 13-12 loss to the Seattle Seahawks last week.

Monday Night Football Betting Preview: Bears at Chargers
          ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Philip Rivers and the Chargers have struggled to cash bets at home going 1-8 ATS in their last nine home games.

Chicago Bears at San Diego Chargers (-4, 49)

The struggling Chicago Bears will be without their best and most versatile offensive player when they visit the sliding San Diego Chargers on Monday night in a matchup of a pair of two-win teams. Dual-threat running back Matt Forte is expected to miss the contest with a knee injury sustained in last Sunday's last-second loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

"Nobody comes and rescues you," Chicago coach John Fox said when it comes to replacing key injured players. "You have to make do with what you have," San Diego knows what that feels like after leading receiver Keenan Allen was placed on season-ending injured reserve this week with a kidney injury suffered in Sunday's narrow loss at Baltimore. Allen ranked second in the league with 67 receptions for San Diego, which is attempting to halt a four-game losing streak. "I think you've got to just keep believing and keep plugging along," Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers said. "As quickly as we've lost four in a row, we could win four in a row."

          TV:
          8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN.

          LINE HISTORY:
The Chargers opened as 4-point home favorites and were briefly bet up to -4.5, before coming back down to the opening number. The total has been bet down a point from 50 to 49.

          INJURY REPORT:

Bears - LB P. McPhee (questionable Monday, knee), T J. Bushrod (questionable Monday, concussion), LB S. McClellin (questionable Monday, leg), C H. Grasu (questionable Monday, undisclosed), WR E. Royal (out Monday, knee), RB M. Forte (out Monday, knee), WR K. White (out indefinitely, shin).

Chargers - CB B. Flowers (probable Monday, knee), CB P. Robinson (probable Monday, concussion), TE A. Gates (probable Monday, knee), DB D. Stuckey (probable Monday, hamstring), CB J. Verrett (probable Monday, groin), G C. Watt (questionable Monday, shoulder), CB C. Mager (questionable Monday, hamstring), G O. Flanklin (questionable Monday, knee), S E. Weddle (questionable Monday, groin), T K. Dunlap (questionable Monday, ankle), DE C. Liuget (questionable Monday, foot), TE L. Green (questionable Monday, ankle), LB M. Te'o (doubtful Monday, ankle), LB T. Williams (I-R, foot), WR K. Allen (I-R, kidney), RB B. Oliver (I-R, toe).

          WEATHER REPORT:
It will be mostly cloudy at kickoff with a 49 percent chance of rain as the night moves along. Temperatures will be in the low 60's with a nine mile per hour wind blowing towards the eastern end zone.

          ABOUT THE BEARS (2-5, 3-4 ATS, 3-4 O/U):
Rookie Jeremy Langford, a fourth-round draft pick out of Michigan State, rushed for 46 yards on 12 carries after Forte was hurt last week and will likely receive a heavy workload as Chicago tries to keep the ball out of the hands of Rivers. Quarterback Jay Cutler will also be without slot receiver Eddie Royal, but Alshon Jeffrey is healthy after missing four games and has 18 receptions for 263 yards and two touchdowns in the past two contests. The Bears allow only 214.3 passing yards per game but rank near the bottom of the league in interceptions (four) and sacks (12).

          ABOUT THE CHARGERS (2-6, 3-5 ATS, 4-4 O/U):
Rivers has thrown for more than 300 yards in five consecutive games and is on pace for a 5,500-yard season but San Diego keeps coming up short, losing its past games by a total of 18 points. Rivers has thrown for 13 touchdowns against only three interceptions over the last five contests and the Chargers are averaging a league-high 423.3 total yards, but they are 28th in the league in points allowed (28.4) - one slot above the Bears (28.9). Rookie first-round pick Melvin Gordon has been a disappointment in the ground game, surpassing 54 yards only once.

          TRENDS:

          * Bears are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games versus a team with a losing record.
          * Chargers are 1-8 ATS in their last nine home games.
          * Under is 8-1 in Bears last nine games versus a team with a losing record.
          * Over is 4-0 in Chargers last four versus a team with a losing record.

          CONSENSUS:
The public is backing the home team in this Monday Night Football showdown, with 63.47 percent of the wagers on the Chargers.

NFL roundup: Unbeaten Panthers knock off Packers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Cam Newton threw three touchdown passes and ran for another as the Carolina Panthers flexed against one of the NFC's established powers, remaining unbeaten by holding off the Green Bay Packers 37-29 on Sunday.

The Panthers (8-0) continued the best start in franchise history, but only with a late goal-line stand after nearly squandering a 23-point fourth-quarter lead.

It was another game full of offensive snafus for the Packers (6-2), who have lost consecutive games for the first time since November 2013 to fall into a first-place NFC North tie with the Minnesota Vikings.

Carolina linebacker Thomas Davis intercepted Aaron Rodgers' fourth-and-goal pass from the 4-yard line on the first play after the two-minute warning to seal the outcome. Wide receiver Randall Cobb was wide open on the play, but Rodgers missed him under heavy duress. Rodgers had four touchdown passes and was sacked five times.

Newton's numbers were rather ordinary, as he completed 15 of 30 passes for 297 yards with one interception. Rodgers ended up 25 of 48 for 368 yards.

            Vikings 21, Rams 18 (OT)

MINNEAPOLIS -- Blair Walsh connected on a 40-yard field goal with 9:20 left in overtime to lift Minnesota over St. Louis.

The win lifted the Vikings into a first-place tie atop the NFC North with the Packers, each with 6-2 records. Minnesota, 4-0 at home, hosts Green Bay in two weeks.

Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein connected on a 53-yard field goal to tie the score with 12 seconds left in regulation. It came less than two minutes after a try from 48 yards sailed wide right. But the St. Louis defense forced Minnesota into a three-and-out, using all three of its timeouts to get the ball back. Zuerlein made four field goals in the game, including a 61-yard kick early in the second quarter.

            Steelers 38, Raiders 35

PITTSBURGH -- Chris Boswell kicked an 18-yard field goal with two seconds remaining to give Pittsburgh a victory over Oakland as the Steelers overcame the loss of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Roethlisberger is expected to miss "a few weeks." The Steelers play the Browns next Sunday and have a bye the followeing weekend.

Roethlisberger threw for 335 yards and two touchdowns before leaving in the fourth quarter with a left foot injury.

Antonio Brown's 57-yard catch and run on a pass from backup quarterback Landry Jones got the Steelers (5-4) to the Raiders' 15 in the final minute and capped a day in which the wide receiver set franchise records with 17 receptions and 285 receiving yards.

Two plays later, Boswell kicked his third field goal of the day to end a seven-play, 79-yard drive engineered by Jones. That came after the Raiders (4-4) tied the game 35-35 with 1:15 remaining on quarterback Derek Carr's 38-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Michael Crabtree.

            Patriots 27, Redskins 10

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Undefeated New England made it eight wins in a row, cruising to an easy victory over mistaken-prone Washington.

Tom Brady threw two more touchdown passes and running back LeGarrette Blount ran for 129 yards and a touchdown as the Patriots scored 14 quick points before the Redskins ran their second play and strolled to the win.

It could prove a costly victory for the Patriots. Left tackle Sebastian Vollmer (head) and running back Dion Lewis (knee) left with injuries. Vollmer's injury is the latest in a long line of health issues for the Patriots' offensive line.

            Titans 34, Saints 28 (OT)

NEW ORLEANS -- Quarterback Marcus Mariota returned from a knee injury to throw four touchdown passes, including a 5-yard throwback in overtime to tight end Anthony Fasano, to spark Tennessee to a victory over New Orleans.

On the winning play from the Saints' 5, Mariota (28 of 39 for 371 yards) rolled to his right, pivoted and then threw back across the field to his left for Fasano, who was wide open in the back of the end zone. The victory snapped the Titans' six-game losing streak, which cost head coach Ken Whisenhunt his job earlier in the week, and he was replaced by interim coach Mike Mularkey.

The Saints were led by quarterback Drew Brees, who completed 28 of 39 passes for 389 yards and three TDs, but they fell to 4-5 after having won three straight.

            Bills 33, Dolphins 17

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Wide receiver Sammy Watkins and running back LeSean McCoy had their best games with Buffalo in the victory over Miami.

Watkins returned after missing Buffalo's previous game with an ankle injury and caught eight passes for a career-high 163 yards and a 44-yard touchdown. McCoy rushed for 112 yards, his first 100-yard rushing game since joining the Bills in an offseason trade, and scored on a 48-yard run. But he left the game in the fourth quarter with a shoulder injury.

Bills rookie running back Karlos Williams rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Tyrod Taylor returned after missing two games with an ankle injury and completed 11 of 12 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown.

            Jets 28, Jaguars 23

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Running back Chris Ivory scored a pair of 1-yard touchdowns and New York snapped a two-game losing streak by hanging on to beat Jacksonville.

Ryan Fitzpatrick was 21 of 34 for 272 yards and two touchdowns -- one apiece to wide receivers Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall -- for the Jets, who improved to 5-3.

Blake Bortles was 24 of 39 for 381 yards and two touchdowns for the Jaguars (2-6).

            Colts 27, Broncos 24

INDIANAPOLIS -- Andrew Luck and the Colts spoiled the Broncos' perfect season and quarterback Peyton Manning's potential record-setting day.

Adam Vinatieri's 55-yard field goal with 6:13 remaining gave Indianapolis a 27-24 lead. Reserve cornerback Darius Butler intercepted a Manning pass 13 seconds later, and Denver (7-1) never got the ball back.

Luck, who replaced Manning under center in Indianapolis after he was released by the team following the 2011 season, completed 21 of 36 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns. Indianapolis is 4-5, breaking a three-game losing streak, and alone in first place in the AFC South.

Manning finished 21 of 36 for 281 yards, two touchdowns and two costly interceptions. Manning needed 284 passing yards to pass Brett Favre's NFL career record and needed one victory for his 187th, which also would break the NFL record set by Favre.

            Giants 32, Buccaneers 18

TAMPA, Fla. -- Quarterback Eli Manning threw two touchdown passes to help the Giants improve to 5-4.

The Bucs (3-5) had a chance to tie the game in the fourth quarter, but a two-point conversion failed. The Giants added a field goal with 28 seconds remaining, then scored a defensive touchdown on the game's final play when the Bucs attempted a lateral and New York cornerback Trevin Wade picked up the loose ball and went 5 yards to seal the outcome.

Three times in the first half, Tampa Bay reached the New York 10-yard line but couldn't get a touchdown. The Giants led 17-9 at halftime.

            49ers 17, Falcons 16

SAN FRANCISCO -- Quarterback Blaine Gabbert, making his first NFL start since Oct. 6, 2013 with the Dolphins, threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns to lead San Francisco 49ers to a 17-16 victory against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday at Levi's Stadium.

Gabbert replaced Colin Kaepernick in the starting lineup and completed 15 of 25 passes with two interceptions.

Quarterback Matt Ryan completed 30 of 45 passes for 303 yards and one touchdown for the Falcons (6-3), who lost their second straight game and fell for the third time in their past four games. Wide receiver Julio Jones caught 10 passes for 137 yards

The Falcons trailed 17-13 when they marched to San Francisco's 8, where they had first-and-goal. But on fourth-and-goal from the one, they opted for a field goal with 2:56 left.

            Eagles 33, Cowboys 27 (OT)

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Sam Bradford and Jordan Matthews connected on a 41-yard touchdown on the first possession of overtime, lifting Philadelphia past Dallas.

The Eagles not only avenged a Week 2 loss to Dallas, but they climbed back into the thick of the NFC East race at 4-4. Philadelphia trails the division-leading New York Giants (5-4) by a half-game.

Bengals the best bet through Week 9

The Cincinnati Bengals are the NFL's best bet at 7-0-1 ATS through the first nine weeks of the NFL season.

The only game they failed to cover was their 27-24 home win over the Seattle Seahawks, which resulted in a push.

The Bengals have opened as 10.5-point home favorites for their Week 10 matchup with the Houston Texans.

Overs cash in NFL action Sunday

Sunday was a day of high scoring NFL action, resulting in the over being the total to bet, going 8-3 O/U in 11 games yesterday.

That puts the over at 68-61 over/under for the season heading into Monday night's action, where the Chargers host the Bears with a total currently at 49.

Bills RB McCoy leaves with shoulder injury

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy went to the locker room with a shoulder injury during the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins and is questionable to return.

McCoy was having a big day before the injury, rushing for 112 yards and a touchdown.

Rookie Karlos Williams replaced McCoy, and scored on a 38-yard touchdown run three plays later.

Vikings QB Bridgewater leaves with concussion

Minnesota Viking quarterback Teddy Bridgewater left Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams in the fourth quarter after taking a shot to the head from Rams cornerback LaMarcus Joyner.

The team later announced that Bridgewater suffered a concussion and would not return to the game.

He was replaced by Shaun Hill.

Officials penalized Joyner for his hit, which took place as Bridgewater was going down by sliding on the ground.

Bridgewater completed 13 of 21 passes for 144 yards and an interception before leaving. He had also run for touchdown. The Vikings led 18-15 when Bridewater left the game.

The NFL may fine Joyner for his hit.
