Does Tom Brady's punishment fit the crime? Thoughts/Discussion

Personally I think 4 games is fair, he's a cheat and so are the patriots and i think a strong message should be sent to the rest of the league that cheating wont be tolerated.

Ray Rice was going to get 2 games until dumbfuck Goodell learned the public was going to see the footage, but yet 4 games for Tom for doing something virtually all other teams do to a certain degree? The NFL is a joke.

Punishment is deserved.

I'm tired hearing all of this BS that every other team does the same thing. While I don't doubt that other teams and qb's would try to have favorable balls, either more or less air, that's where the difference stops. The arrogant bastards that the Pats are, would deflate the balls AFTER they had been inspected. Sending employees into the bathroom, they had it down to a science. The AFC Championship game wasn't the first time this happened.

Pretty sad that Bellacheat somehow avoids a suspension. No way he didn't have a hand in this as well. He has created an environment that encourages and enables cheating and has no regard for fair play or the rules. How Peyton gets a year for far less and now the repeat offender gets off without so much as a slap on the wrist is pathetic.

Nice to see scumbag Kraft had no qualms about firing the two poor bastards that worked for the organization for 20 years that were bullied into performing the deflating task for Brady though.

This should once and for all end any type of dynasty or legacy of NE. The plain and simple truth is that they have not won anything without cheating.

It HAS to be. Otherwise these guys can keep cheating in a variety of ways. Why would you stop if you know you're gonna get a slap on the wrist? A message has to be sent. This suspension was based on what transpired in the past. Keep cheating and the penalty gets more severe....

I think it's a bullshit call as they probably think the Patriots new and that Brady Probably knew. That is not the same thing as knowing for a fact. Also the Colt's got to use the same balls in the first half. The balls were discovered and not used in the 2nd half and NE kicked the shit out of the colt's in the 2nd half. So someone explain how they won the 2nd half with non deflated balls? New England 28-0 second half!

Every team in the NFL has someone go watch the other teams practice.

I think the punishment should have went more toward the management side of the team.Coach and Owner.Brady may have told them how it would help,but I am sure that the ball was not set in motion by Brady.Everyone knows who makes the decisions on that team.That fine is like one of us losing a $50 bet to Craft.The draft picks might hurt but they can buy talent for a couple years and really besides Brady what talent have they really had on offense.Gronk's pretty good but I remember when everyone thought the same thing about Deon Branch what happened to him after he didn't have that NE system and Brady throwing him the ball?Just my 2 cents worth.For my money Brady is still the best 6th round draft pick in the history of the NFL!! Oh yeah and he couldn't even win the starting job at my U of M when he was there.He had a baseball player ahead of him. lol
