ROBB, if you do that well from 'not picking many losers' why not share your picks?

On December 1 you were 'begging' for quality NBA selections. I quote:

LOOKING FOR SOME QUALITY NBA PICKS. I KNOW ALOT OF YOU GUYS HAVE THESE ROAD SYSTEMS WHEN TEAMS TRAVEL AND PLAY BACK TO BACK (LIKE PACERS TONIGHT). JUST NEED TO BE MORE CONSISTENT WITH MY NBA PLAYS. I AM ALMOST GUESSING. WILL POST CBB IN RETURN. THANKS GUYS!

That same day you posted 2 CBB selections. Your selections were 1-1. Since that day you never started a new thread with your selections.

IMO, someone who is begging for 'Quality NBA Picks' does not own a BMW from gambling.

What is more siginifcant than owning a BMW is what a person is worth, his values and more importantly how a person lives his life.
I know of some folks who have great cars but live in a dump in a crummy area.
On the other hand, I know of some very rich , claasypeople who don't drive fancy cars and don't care to flaunt their wealth(in some cases they own nice houses and like to travel for example) or brag about their assets.
Surely there is nothing wrong about owning a BMW, as it is a very fine car, but to use it as a sign of being successful in gambling or in life for that matter doesn't fly with me.
I myself drive a Honda Insight(hybrid car) and love it and the great gas mileage. So what?

        What a joke.....

Anyone that brags about their assets in my book is a loser...who cares if you have a BMW,should i just ignore everyone else and just follow your plays now? I mean DAMN,you DO OWN a BMW free and clear too...WOW:eek:

          Fellow Posters :

I was not going to follow-up with this thread because of obvious reasons , it seems as though ROBB has stoppped in a few times (my posts) and hes never aggressive but always negative with his responces .

I could easily own things to albeit as stated by others it reflects nothing on this board , a BMW outright was somewhat of a ego pushing attempt that was not needed here and I could show a list of cargo haulers and dog trailers + pick-up trucks ( not counting other vehicles of which I lose count ) to bolster my status as a gambler , but in reality they came from hard work and good business decisions not from my wagering which is just a bad-habit that I love to dabble in ( nothing more - nothing less )

I feel that ROBB will be back and hopefully he sticks to counting his wins and losses instead of mine ( his math is worse than mine ) and trys to contribute instead of finding negative ways to clutter our posting place and point out others short-comings !

To hopefully put this issue to bed, I have a soon to be 9 year old daughter, and while I wish I could say that I "own" her free and clear, I am embarrassed to say being the soft touch I am, I am afraid that she really "owns" me; that is the price I pay for being a father, and you know what, when all is said and done, she is the most valuable "asset" I have;try putting a monetary value on that.:D

You have to be a good father , I can just tell it ( strange ) and maybe someday you will get your just rewards for the job well done :D

Our childern are our most valuable assets ( bar-none ) and a living legacy of our commitment to excellence and I shudder to think of how lonely my life would be without them.

Memphis-as you and I are about the same age(lets see late middle age), we obviously view life a little differently than our younger brothers/sisters who dwell and post here.
I have to admit when I was young, I bought a flashy red 1969 Pontiac Firebird, which I thought would impress the ladies.
As I found out, yeah ,the car sometimes got me to first base with some lovely ladies but it didn't have the power in itself to allow me to hit "homeruns" with them if you get my drift.
If we only knew and thought back then what we know and feel today about the meaning of one's existence today, would we have acted differently back then?
On the other hand, if we didn't learn through life's experiences or have the ups and downs(I am obviously not talking about the w's and l's of gambling), then what would be the point of our existence in the first play?
My apologies for being so longwinded and even more so those who don't think this is appropriate as it is supposed to be a gambling forum.
Just remember those of you who have read this far, we are all gamblers for differerent reasons;just don't lose sight of its perspective in your life;I am the first to admit that I don't always practice what I preach, but can honestly say at least intellectually that your relationship with your spouse and/or female or male companion, your children, your health and overall happiness( not related to how much you win or lose with betting on games) far surpasses anything.

Savage, your post made me laugh. I have three daughters 13, 9 and 7. They all adore their dad. Hence, they have dad wrapped around their little fingers.
