    Frank,

I think you will never get a reply from Marc Lowlife Lawrence b/c I have sent him many emails in the past to no avail. The only time I got a response back was in September when I pointed out to the jackass that there were numerous mistakes in his football yearbook....right then I knew he wasn't a good capper....b/c of his lack of attention to detail. How can you publish a national publication with mistakes in it and not even know it. It is little things like this (that many people think might not be important) that tells you a lot about an individual. And I guess it shows b/c he flat out stinks.

If you guys want more of a laugh, Marc has a television show..YES!! a television show (don't know how) on DirecTV called Against the Spread during the football season. I watched it a couple of times during the season and he has what is called his False Fav game of the week every show. The majority of the season he used this reasoning for his false fav selection: for example he would say something like this, in the history of the series this team has been favoured in all 17 matchups, therefore we have a role reversal so expect the dog to be barking today and get the cash!...don't make me laugh Marc...there is a reason why those teams aren't favoured anymore.

Two of those games were Texas A&M +6 at Texas Tech.
Final Score: TAM 28 TT 59

    AND

    ALABAMA +3 at OLE MISS
Final Score: ALA 28 OM 43 (game was over in the First quarter)

Just my two cents worth on how terrible this idiot is!!

        Wednesday 0-2
        Tuesday 1-0
        Monday 0-1
        Sunday 0-2
        Saturday 0-2

The next thing I expect to hear from"Loser" Lawrence is something to effect that the Knicks are 10-5 ATS in games in which they cover the spread. :D

I truly can't believe how bad this guy is. Why would anyone request his selections. It's one thing losing a selection. It's an entirely different matter the logic of his selections.

              Beating the same drum

Thanks to Ripped71 for posting the below from Marc's newsletter:

Virginia over GEORGIA TECH by 6

Here’s another double revenge winning underdog, one of our favoriteanimals in the handicapping zoo. This one, however, can also reside in another cage, the one that holds the dominating dogs. Virginia is 14-3 SU and 16-1 ATS in this series, a stat that makes this double revenge game so special. With one league loss already in the basket and another possible loss (the Cavs play Duke in the game before this one) on the horizon, you can expect Virginia to crank up the intensity here. Georgia Tech pulled a couple of spectacular upsets early in the season but the loss at Georgia could start a downward spiral for the young Bumblebees. In fact, we’re counting on it.

ANOTHER LOSER! This is from his newsletter. Is this guy fucking kidding me!!! You can't be this clueless. He has the stats backwards. It's GT that ownes the superior record. I can only imagine how many of his subscribers lost a on this selection. Marc predicting a SU winner on a 16 point dog.

If I was a subscriber to his newsletter I'd send him email.

I'll say it one last time: LOSER Lawrence's College GOY in football in 2002 was UCLA against USC.
He used some ridiculous and irrelevant stats to back up his picks;USC was playing great and UCLA was going in the other direction.
As you might expect, USC won game by at least 40 points making just one more loss in the long string of losers for LOSER Lawrence.

If Lawrence is that consistent of a loser why don't you just fade him? Just think, you could have been on the other side of that USC-UCLA game you are always talking about.

To tell you the truth I suspected that Lawrence was lousy prior to that game, but his logic and pick in that game convinced me.
I don't fade anyone per se on a regular basis(perhaps I should), but I am amused by the faulty and flawed logic he uses and wonder how he stays in business and /or who would pay for his picks.
On the other hand as the old saying going, there is a sucker born every minute.

Do you ever post your picks on any forum? I see you posting all the time (nearly 1500 posts here-holy smokes!), but I don't think I have ever seen you write-up anything on a game. I know you don't like Lawrences "system" approach, but what logical approach would you suggest for a beginner?

salutations all, ive heard all the lawrence bashing and saw that wall street gets consensus. lawrence is a marketer before a capper.however i do know of a few good honest people, they are as follows. brian mac,the manager at fyi sports, jigsaw at jigsaw sports, chuck luck, sam shark, chef billy capone, champgne sports, joey dimes, asa, chicago sports syndicate.billy walters cb,s, j.gavazzi,iceman. these are the people who post good records year in and year out. rarely does anyone have acess to or post their plays. if they did i would visit more frequently as i always try to get these guys if anyone gets them can you please post? thanx g.c.

Goldencontender-I agree with your list pretty much.
Dogpick-I never claimed to be a good capper;thus I rely on others and have a pretty good handle on who is good and who isn't, as I have followed various services since their inception in the 1970s.
I would say in addition to list of goldencontender, simply follow the great cappers here on this forum who post for for free, expecially Memphis Mafia, Ezwinners, Poboy, Godvike, Homer, wayne, WizzardofOdds, etc.
Whatever you do when you see a group of paid cappers unanimously on the same side of a game, be careful, pass or even go the other way(to be perfectly honest I don't always practice what I preach).
ps Northcoast is quite good in their big plays.

                            Goldencontender:

Are any of the services you mentioned monitored? Where can I find a record for Brian Mac? It says on his website that monitors are all no good. I would disagree with that and guess that he is hiding something.

I am very surprised that you agree that Brian Mac is a good service. At least Marc Lawrence is monitored by a couple of different sites. Brian Mac makes the argument that the monitors are no good because they don't show losing handicappers and they allow different club picks. Nevertheless, is that not better than not being monitored at all? Additionally, there are tons of monitoring sites now that show both winning and losing handicappers. I wonder if maybe Brian Mac is the Manager, joey dimes, and others and just releases opposite sides that way. It really surprises me that you would say he is good because his website and his story about the syndicates really looks like a big fraud to me. I mean, why would the syndicates give him their plays? I would guess that if the syndicates actually do exist and they found out that Brian Mac was selling their selections he would receive a beatdown.

Has anyone in the group actually used Brian Mac?
