Knicks win sixth straight, cashing for backers
The New York Knicks are bringing in Phil Jackson in on a high note.
With the Knicks 115-94 win Saturday night over Milwaukee, New York has now won six consecutive games. What's even better is that Knicks backers have been able to cash in on the streak as well. The Knicks are 5-1 against the spread during their current run - one of the best ATS runs of the season.
The Knicks don't play again until Wednesday, when they host the Indiana Pacers.
Bettors enjoying a hot ATS month from Raptors
The Toronto Raptors have been sizzling straight up against the spread in the month of March. The Raps are 5-1 SU and ATS and will face the Phoenix Suns Sunday afternoon.
Coincidentally, the Raptors and Suns are two top teams in the NBA against the spread. The Suns are 42.22-1 ATS while the Raptors are 39-24-1 ATS.
Spurs have been incredible, undefeated, in March
The San Antonio Spurs are surging as of late. Since the beginning of March, the Spurs are undefeated straight-up (7-0) and a solid 5-2 against the spread.
The two spreads that the Spurs failed to cover were by a combined 7.5-points - including missing the ATS win against the Dallas Mavericks by 0.5. The Spurs have also covered both games at home so far in March in decisive fashion.
The Spurs will look to remain unbeaten in March when they welcome the Utah Jazz plus 15 Sunday.
Back injury ends Odom's season in Spain
Forward Lamar Odom's season in Spain was cut short by a back injury.
The Spanish team, Baskonia, said Saturday that Odom's personal doctors in New York ruled him unfit to play for two months, putting an end to his present contract, according to the Associated Press.
Odom, who won two NBA titles with the Los Angeles Lakers, signed a two-month contract with the Basque club in February.
Warriors stars lighting up Trail Blazers this season
The two times this season the Golden State Warriors clashed with the Portland Trail Blazers, the Warriors big guns have shown up.
Stephen Curry has averaged 30-points and 9.5-assists against Portland this year, including a stellar 38-point performance on Jan. 26. The Warriors offensive dominance does not end with Curry as David Lee has averaged 16 ppg and 12 rpg.
If Portland expects to walk away with a win, then they will need to find a way to stop the Warriors big two or somehow match their offensive output.
The Warriors are 1.5-point road favorites against the Trail Blazers Sunday.
Covering in Oklahoma City has come easy to Mavs
The Dallas Mavericks are currently in a dogfight for playoff position in the Western Conference, but bettors shouldn't be worried about the Mavs chances against the spread in Oklahoma Sunday.
The Mavs are strong on the road - 42-18 ATS in their last 60 road games - but are even better when they play in Chesapeake Energy Arena - 16-5-1 ATS at Oklahoma City. For bettors security, the road team also has a strong 24-8-1 ATS record when these two teams meet.
The Mavs enter their game with the Oklahoma City Thunder as 8-point road dogs.
