    Texas Tech vs Arizona St

    Points For
    TTU (35.7)
    ASU (41.0)

    Points Against
    TTU (31.2)
    ASU (25.8)

    Offense
    TTU (8th)
    ASU (29th)

    Defense
    TTU (85th)
    ASU (30th)

    5* "7 PT." Teaser = Arizona St (-7) - (O64.5) -130 (10:20 PM)

Tech will not have QB Baker Mayfield for this game as he has decided to transfer. I think it is too much offense from ASU and a better defense that gets it done here. Tech will get points from their offense but it won't be enough to get the victory in this one. I have to tease it because -14 is a lot against a high powered Tech passing game. The backdoor cover scares me and I don't think scoring will be a problem in this one, so it seemed like the right thing to do. Arizona St 47 Texas Tech 30

      BC (27.8)

      Ariz. (67th)

      5* "7 PT." Teaser = Arizona (-.5) - (O50) -130 (12:35 PM)

Great matchup of RB's with Williams and Carey here. I think the difference is at QB. I like Denker a lot and I don't trust Rettig one bit. When it comes down to it, I think Arizona is better on both sides of the ball. Arizona wears down BC in the 2nd half and Rettig makes a crucial error late. Arizona 34 Boston College 24

        Va Tech vs UCLA

        Points For
        VT (23.4)
        UCLA (36.5)

        Points Against
        VT (17.4)
        UCLA (24.1)

        Offense
        VT (100th)
        UCLA (37th)

        Defense
        VT (4th)
        UCLA (56th)

        10* UCLA -7 (2:05 PM)

This game has blowout written all over it IMO. The Bruins have playmakers all over the field (on both sides of the ball) and Va Tech simply doesn't. The Hokies have been hit by the injury bug and the latest blow was losing leading rusher RB Edmunds in the final game of the season to a fractured right tibia. The Hokies struggled on offense already and this certainly doesn't help. He also led the team in touchdowns. On the other side of the ball Kyle Fuller, who was a 1st Team All ACC CB last year had abdomen surgery in late November and he is a question mark for this game. The Bruins on the other hand are loaded. At QB they have a great playmaker in Hundley. He can beat you with his arm and his legs. They have the explosive Myles Jack too. He plays on both sides of the ball (RB/LB) and he was the 1st player ever to win offensive and defensive Freshman of the year in the Pac 12. The Bruins have another stud at WR in Shaq Evans. On defense is maybe their best player, All American Anthony Barr. He too is a beast. The Hokies defense may be ranked 4th but they had the luxury this season of not playing Fla St or Clemson as part of their ACC schedule. If they had, they wouldn't be the 4th best defense in the Country. The Hokies struggle to score and I think UCLA will dominate them on both sides of the ball. UCLA 35 Va Tech 16

            Mississippi St vs Rice

            Points For
            MSU (26.3)
            Rice (31.4)

            Points Against
            MSU (24.3)
            Rice (22.9)

            Offense
            MSU (46th)
            Rice (49th)

            Defense
            MSU (34th)
            Rice (25th)

            5* "7 PT." Teaser = Rice (+14) - (O44) -130 (4:05 PM)

Miss St needed wins in their final 2 games to become Bowl eligible and they got them. Now at (6-6) they face a pesky Rice squad that finished (10-3). State had a brutal schedule. Yes, they lost 6 games but those opponents were Okla. St, Alabama, Auburn, So Carolina, LSU and Texas A&M. Brutal. The best win for Rice was against Marshall. I think the Bulldogs will wear down Rice in the 2nd half with their running game but I also think Rice can score enough points to hang around in this one late. Miss St 33 Rice 27

              Duke vs Texas A&M

              Points For
              Duke (31.6)
              A&M (43.6)

              Points Against

              A&M (30.9)

              Offense
              Duke (69th)
              A&M (4th)

              Defense
              Duke (72nd)
              A&M (106th)

              5* "7 PT." Teaser = Texas A&M (-5.5) - (O68) -130 (8:05 PM)

Two things I know about this game are that A&M should win by DD and there should be plenty of points scored. Duke struggled this year against teams with great skill position players and speed. They will face both again in this game. Both teams can and will score but I do not see Duke having the ability to keep up on either side of the ball or contain Manziel. Johnny Football goes out with another memorable game. Texas A&M 48 Duke 31

                Nebraska vs Georgia

                Neb. (58th)
                Ga. (17th)

                Defense
                Neb. (35th)
                Ga. (48th)

                3* Nebraska +8.5 (12:05 PM)

I simply do not have a great feel for this game at all. Both have stud RB's and both are using backup QB's. On paper Georgia is the clear cut better team. They have suffered a ton of injuries though and on the other side Nebraska is getting healthy. Especially with their offensive line. I'll take a shot with the points here. Albeit a small one. Georgia 27 Nebraska 23

                  UNLV vs North Texas

                  Points For
                  UNLV (31.2)
                  UNT (31.5)

                  Points Against
                  UNLV (31.5)
                  UNT (18.1)

                  Offense
                  UNLV (52nd)
                  UNT (66th)

                  Defense
                  UNLV (100th)
                  UNT (27th)

                  5* UNLV +7 (12:05 PM)

UNLV QB Herring only played in the L10 games and the Rebels were (7-3) in those games. These teams have played similar competition and it looks like UNLV has the better offense and NT has the better defense. The game is a virtual home game for NT but that is ok because UNLV is (4-1) Ats on the road this season. This looks like a very tight contest to me and it may come down to the final possession. North Texas 30 UNLV 28

                    Wisc. (6th)
                    SC (18th)

                    5* South Carolina +1 (1:05 PM)

No rhyme or reason for this play. Both teams are solid on offense and both are great at stopping the run. Most people expect a close game and most that I have seen or heard like Wisconsin. I have trouble taking a Big10 team over a SEC team. I really do and I think the Gamecocks are a better team than the Badgers and they have played a much tougher schedule too. Wisconsin's numbers on defense look great but it was against much easier opponents too. South Carolina 31 Wisconsin 21

                      Iowa vs LSU

                      Points For

                      LSU (37.0)

                      Points Against

                      Offense
                      Iowa (81st)
                      LSU (27th)

                      Defense
                      Iowa (7th)
                      LSU (20th)

                      5* Iowa +8 (1:05 PM)

This is another Big10 team I will take vs the SEC and for a similar reason (QB out). Iowa has been a very physical team all year and they have played really well of late. LSU is very tough too but I think with the loss of Mettenberger, Iowa can hang with them in this one. It is as big a loss to LSU as I think Murray's loss to Georgia is. LSU 24 Iowa 20

                        Michigan St vs Stanford

                        Points For

                        Stan. (33.2)

                        MSU (82nd)
                        Stan. (62nd)

                        Defense
                        MSU (1st)
                        Stan. (15th)

                        10* "7 PT." Teaser = Stanford (+.5) - (O35.5) -130 (5:05 PM)

Stanford had by far the tougher schedule this season. They played 9 Bowl teams and went (8-1) in those games. I really like Stanford to win this game. IMO, Michigan St played their Super Bowl in the Big10 Title game when they beat Ohio St. I really think that game meant more to them than any other. The loss of all world LB Bullough is huge. He was the Captain and the leader on defense. His suspension for this game came as somewhat of a shocker after the team was already in California. This is not the same #1 ranked defense without him and he was going to be the key in slowing down Stanford's power running game. Stanford has the experience in these games and they are playing in familiar surroundings here. Losing Bullough should open things up a little for Stanford and I have a feeling there will be a little more scoring in this game than most think. Stanford 30 Michigan St 17

                            UCF vs Baylor

                            Baylor (53.2)

                            Baylor (1st)

                            Defense
                            UCF (19th)
                            Baylor (17th)

                            5* "7 PT." Teaser = Baylor (-9.5) - (U80) -130 (8:30 PM)

The Knights are stepping up here to face their toughest opponent of the season. I'm having trouble seeing a scenario where they can match points with Baylor in this one. The Baylor offense is the best in the Country and the Baylor defense may only be ranked 2 spots ahead of UCF, but they did it against much tougher competition. You switch schedules and Baylor has a top 5 defense and UCF wouldn't even sniff the top 30. I do believe with both defense's ranked in the top 20 as we stand, they will both play good enough to keep this total down a little. It opened at 68 and that seems about right. The public has bet it up almost a full TD and i'll try to take advantage of that. Baylor 44 UCF 24
