I understand what you're saying.......the conference is extremely large, broken up into 2 divisions, then a championship game is played between both div winners.........

The PAC 12 could do the same thing.......all play each other, 11 games, and they would probably have ties, and still yet another playoff game.......staying within your conference only, creates 11 games, the schools would still be looking for another..........

should be a damn good game between Ga and Ala.....either way another SEC team plays in the BCS Championship game......

Oh well. K State and Oregon had their shot, they blew it.

I just don't see how Bama is ahead of the ducks. Both lost to a decent team and who says Bama deserves the shot more than the ducks.. Assuming they both win this weekend.

Bama's loss was a 5-point defeat to A&M that brought everything they had that night. They played out of their minds and Bama still made a fair effort in the 2nd half. They did have a pretty easy schedule beyond that game and the one against LSU, but they also won that game AT LSU. Albeit, they could have lost, but they made some clutch plays. GA had a similar schedule in that they only played two higher-tier opponents but the difference with their one loss is that they got blown out, unlike Bama vs A&M. Also, if you look at the games against TENN, MIZZOU, and AUBURN, Bama ended up with a wider margin of victory when comparing GA's games against those 3. Aside from the two teams you also have to take into consideration the coaches. Nick Saban is the best coach in college football and he has been in this sort of situation multiple times and had his team come through. I don't know if this will give the mental edge to Bama but I know if I were a player I would feel a lot more comfortable with that dude calling the shots in a big game. I will be rooting for GA but Bama is always hard to bet against, and considering this is a big game...coaching and recent history DO matter

My point is simple. Play ALL the teams in your conference. If you need to pick up a game somewhere after that, then do so. 'Bama hasnt played Georgia since 2008 if I heard right. How is that possible ?? I'm sure you know and everyone else does too. You cant make an argument for a team with 2 losses for the BCS Championship.
