    To Tony Vegas

I did not bet on the Minnesota Arizona game I bet on the
St Louis Detroit game and the Indy Houston game which I
won as I bet the money line. The Indy Colt game was
totally fixed for Houston to beat the point spread as I
watched Indy purposely not score in the first half as they
called asinine plays. They had a 4th down and less than one
inside Houstons 20 yard line and could have kicked a field
goal and did not as instead of calling a quarterback sneak
they called some dumb slow developing running play and
got stopped. I won't go over everthing as it would take to
long. They did real good in the second half after the spotted
Houston 14 points so they could just catch up and win by a
    field goal.

I did not say the mob made Arizona win the game with that
great last second catch. Of course no one could plan anything
like that. I said Arizona already had the point spread beat
but they just were able to go ahead and win the game
themselves but it did of course change the out come of the
game concerning the point spread. The mob does not care
who wins the game just as long as the game comes out as it
is suppose to concerning the point spread. If Minnesota was
suppose to win and beat the point spread the score would
have been 35-0 in favor on Minnesota. You need to think
and smell these games out as to the way they are suppose to
    go.

Opps I left out a word. I ment to say it did not change the
outcome of the game concerning the point spread when
Arizona scored the wining touchdown as Arizona already
had the point spread beaten and the mob was very very
      happy collecting all that money.

        You guys crack me up

I love these "I can't believe this happened... This game MUST HAVE been fixed for things to turn out this way!!!" threads.

The only thing funnier than these posts are the Adventures of Herbie chronicled by the 21st Century's Bill Shakesspeer Knowlez.

In all my year's of watching sports and gambling on them, there is only one game that I know of that was fixed... and I don't remember one person in the whole country who even questioned it at the time.

swradio, according to your logic, any time something out of the ordinary happens, well hot damn the fix must be in... unless of course the extrordinary occurs in a way that helps you. Then its just good luck.

Keep up the good work Mulder. Scully will be back from the lab soon with the results.

          Been "watching" for 25 years??

I don't ever try to insult anybody on the forum, but Radio, if you've been watching NFL games for 25 years and you now, after betting them, seemed "stunned" that a good team lays down in week 17 against a bad team, you may have been watching, but you haven't been SEEING. Week 17 (and used to week 18) are notorious for stuff like this to happen. I believe that, with $$ on the line, you now SEE things differently than you used to. Look, St Lousi' playing like crap on the road is nothing new as they've done it all season. Detroit beating a "good team" at home is nothing newi.e., GB on Thanksgiving Day. Arizona beating a "good team" at home...Nothing new, i.e., GB. Minny lookin' like crap on grass is nothing new. They haven't covered on the natural stuff in forever. The fact is that in the NFL, it has much less to do with talent than it does emotional readiness. Unlike in the collegs, this ia a job for these guys and they simply don't perform at their highest (or lowest) level every week during the season. I would suggest you should probably NOT continue to bet on NFL games. It should be an enjoyable passtime and it seems to me you can't be enjoying it. Just my thoughts and good luck, but there is little likelihood that these things are being fixed.

Used to be 16, but also used to be 18. NFL liked extending the season so much with the bye week they experimented with TWO bye weeks in the early '90s. It only lasted for a year or two until they decided it watered down the schedule too much.

TV has been after the NFL for years to push the Super Bowl into February, because it's a sweeps month. So rather than have two bye weeks they just start the season a week later. Always used to be Labor Day weekend. Now it's the week after.

                just my 2 c's

as a long term gambler, i believe that pro and college football is fixed to some point. whether it be the coaches, the refs or the players themselves there is something going on. whether it be taking a knee at the end of a game or a bad call by a ref, there is a definite predetermined outcome for certain games. i dont think everygame is fixed. it doesnt need to be. think about this. say you are in on a fix, wouldn't you be happy as a lark to know one game on sunday couldn't lose! who cares about the other games you make BIG money on one game.

lets take for instance the minny/zona game. i didnt bet it but. if it was fixed it probably was for the zona cover and the straight up win was just icing on the cake. or you can delve deeper. did 10 pt or 6 pt teasers come into play on the total? 2nd half line? 2nd half total? # of wins for minny or zona for the year? number of losses for minny or zona for the year? and on and on. the bottom line is it's gambling. would it be fun if you won all the time?

                  swradio

keep this in mind if you think there is a FIX.
When gambling, your not trying to beat a team, your trying to beat the line.......
You guys that think the games are fixed are CRAZY........

I couldn't have said it any better

Your betting against the line not the team. And the people that make the line do this for a living

                      To Radio

That is fine that you did not bet the Zona game but you are still sayin how fixed that was. St. Louis is another example of team being great at home and medicore, at best on the road. I am young and have not been around the NFL for years but I have been gambling since I was sixteen, and one of the first things you learn is to be careful of home dogs. There are not many times, if any, I would ever lay double digits points or lay huge odds on the roads. You can whine all you want but to say the games is fixed is ricdiculous because the secret would be out by now. Plus if you know the NFL is fixed then why bet it.

Unfortunately I have been doing this for a long time.
My rule of thumb is to take the home team getting points.
I got eaten up early in the NFL but came back strong mid way through. The fixed idea is bullshit. People expect the other team to lay down dead for the favorite and it willnot happen. I booked for a lot of years and saw the trend of people taking road faves and I can tell you I did well. Didn't make a killing but the home dogs did me fine. I am sure the WIz can attest to that.

Good luck to you and these games are not fixed. If the sharps thought that they would be on the other side "the fixed side" every time!! Like me!!

Sutton-Do you agree with me that there is hanky panky sometimes in the NBA and especially with the Lakers?
If such a thing could be proven, I would give odds that sometimes players near end of game when decision is decided try to control pointspread winner and same for over/under.

What only I can say is

GB has to go playoff and superbowl and win there.
Somebody has to go out and somebody was MIN.
                                That is all.
