Thank you and good luck tonight.
Big Al Mcmordie (FREE PLAY)
Game: Michigan St. at Nebraska Dec 29 2003 9:00PM
Prediction: Nebraska
Reason: Nebraska is making its 35 straight post-season appearance, which is an NCAA record. And the Cornhuskers will be coached by Bo Pelini, who is in his 1st season as defensive co-ordinator, after 9 years in the NFL. This game will be Pelini's audition for the head coaching job and, if he doesn't get that position, I wouldn't be surprised if he is hired by Oklahoma to take over for their departing defensive co-ordinator Mike Stoops, who will be Arizona's head coach next season. This Bowl game is a clash of offensive styles. Michigan State loves to pass the ball with QB Jeff Smoker, while Nebraska wants to run, run, run. The Cornhuskers are 9th in the nation in rushing, but only Air Force and Rice threw for less yards. Nebraska also has a very good pass defense, as they allowed just 206 passing yards per game, and 5.4 yards per pass attempt. The Spartans are just 4-12 ATS vs. good passing defenses that allow 5.75 yards or less per pass attempt, and Michigan State is 0-4 straight-up vs. Nebraska, including a 55-14 blowout loss in 1996.

Their top-rated 5* total is on Nebraska-Michigan State to stay under with a projection of 48 points to be scored.

MONDAY'S HOOPS
MONDAY'S HOOPS
The service out of Salt Lake has top-rated 3* plays on Minnesota and Georgia Tech.
They note Minnesota, 6-0 SU at home, is out to avenge a 20-point loss at Nebraska a year ago, and that the Huskers are playing on their second road game of the year.
They point out Ga Tech is 11-0 SU and 8-2 ATS on the year, winning all seven of its home games by an average margin of 31 points a game.
The service out of Dallas has its top-rated 5,000* play on Utah State (6-1 on the year).
The service out of Houston has a top-rated 5* on Utah to stop a short-handed Philly team playing its third road game in four nights, and a 3* play on the Knicks, who have covered four in a row, to prevail at Orlando where the Magic are 3-12 SU and 4-11 ATS.

DAYTON SERVICE
Their One-And-Only 30* Game of the Year is on Michigan State to upset Nebraska in the Alamo Bowl. They feel the Spartans simply have too much offensive firepower with Jeff Smoker (3,239 yards, 21 TDs) leading the attack. And they point out Nebraska struggled against teams with strong, balanced attacks as they lost to Texas (31-7), Missouri (41-24) and Kansas State (38-9) during the regular season.
They're also concerned with the turmoil surrounding the Nebraska program with Frank Solich's firing a month ago. And they have little faith in quarterback Jamal Lord's (48% completions) ability to move the team on offense.
