Your right, they don't need a piece of cardboard or a signed helmet. But then again I don't call up people and tell them they do. I don't tell them to get a hold of all the money you can and buy this football.
You really are comparing apples and oranges don't you think? I don't solicit customers. When they buy something from me or anybody else, they have something to keep. When they buy from you they have a possiblity of losing more money and having nothing to show for it.

Shorty says you don't compare to Root, Sprietzer, Feist and others. What makes you different? I'd like to know. Say for example you tell a client to load up and it loses. He calls back and says "I lost my paycheck, what do I do". What do you tell him to do? Go to Gamblers Anonymous? Probably not. You tell him "send me a couple $100 more I'll bail you out with a big winner".
Tell me what makes you different than the other cappers.

I can verify that it is Al McMordie. I sent email to [email protected]. He responded to my email with my email body attached.

Your argument is right in the sense that comparing he does to what you do is not fair. You are not soliciting business and you are not doing something which is causing people to lose lots of money (of course, i do have some worthless baseball cards and worthless memorabilia, but that is my own fault)

When i say Al is different than the above named scamdicappers is that he does not claim to be 10000000000-3 lifetime and he does not have a game of the year 3 times a day, and does not play both sides of the same game like those losers do...........for the most part , Al is honest.......obviously in his business, you have to 'curve stats' sometime, but he is not like them, you gotta give gim that

I can attest to Big Al's Honesty as well. I have followed Big Al for over 6 years. Of course he markets himself like any other business would. He is monitored by Ruth Glascow in Oklahoma City, so all of his records are accurate.

Regarding other people sharing your picks. This is not theft; immoral maybe. When a handicapper makes a selection, it is an opinion. If I buy a newspaper to read a boatload of opinions and decide to share this paper with a friend.....I can legally do this. Do the publications like this? Of course not.

If this was illegal all of the consensus services out there would have been out of business for a long time.

By the way, Keep up the good work in the bowl games. You have made me a ton of money the past few years in the NFL playoffs and bowl games.

The word "steal" is not relevant where sports handicapping
is concerned simply because sports gambling is technically illegal outside of Nevada;how can an offshoot of the activity(giving out picks) be illegal when gambling itself is?
Any judge would laugh if a capper tried to sue someone for giving out his picks for nothing;it seems to me that Mr. Root must have been unsuccessful in trying to do so as his selections are strewn all over the internet.
To change the subject, anyone who says he handicaps for 20 hours a day on a regular basis isn't telling it the way it is, and if somehow he were,I sure wouldn't want the picks and logic of a badly fatigued capper.
In any case I believe that within next few years as more and more gamblers get computers and learn that picks from the paid cappers can be obtained for nothing, that paid services will go the way of the dinosaurs;you'll see.

I think if people pay for the picks, then they should be able to do what they want to with them , and if they wan to post them on this site they should. A buddy of mine got Randy Whites combo plays one weekend and the plays where guaranteed. If he losed any of the plays , he could call back the next day and get his plays for free. When he called back after he lost both plays and was down a good bit of money, the asshole who answered the phone gave him such a run around about how Randy Whites top clients went 5-0 that Sunday and wanted him to sent him 1000 dollars to get on Randy Whites top client list. My buddy finally told the guy after 10 minutes to eat shit, and the guy never gave him his free plays. I think most pay services are just out to fuck you in the long run. We have to many talented cappers on this site to have to beg everynight for service plays. Hope everybody has a MerryChristmas.

Once everyone learns that by and large what you say is true, the only things remaining might be publications like PowerSweep because some people love to read mounds of mounds of stats most of which has no bearing on what teams will cover when games are actually played on a given weekend and a few isolated smaller services whose picks never reach the internet.
It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure that out.

CRL9, I have a HUGE problem with scamdicappers who guarantee their plays with additional "free" plays. After they get your money they can give you any play. What do they care? Guaranteed should mean if it doesn't win you don't pay.

If you look at the publications out there, most players can win the same money or not by reading the material on the games or by going on espn preview or college football.com or other sites and get the same insite on games as any handicapper. When it's all said and done you usually bet what you like anyway because all the services out their are going both ways on the games. It's up to individuals whether they follow a certain # of services or not. People get hot and you stick with their plays and when they aren't it's ups to us to change or keep losing.

                              Al

Al I see what you mean. My service plays get posted as well, but there isn't much I can do about it. I guess I just take it as more exposure for my site, and for people to see how my picks are. I realize your service probably does more business than mine, and you depend on your service as your income, so you probably have a more valid argument.

                                Hey Everyone,

Al is an honest Handicapper thats the bottom line...

True there are the "scamdicappers" out there, that give the good ones a bad name. Let's not stereotype every handicapper out there as being a rip-off. The sportsmonitor is a reliable monitoring service, if you don't believe me then track the picks yourself daily. I don't entirely agree that its completely right to post peoples paid picks at this forum, but u know people do share info with their friends, kinda a sticky situation.

To clarify some other posts on here... Al doesnt charge 500 bucks for a pick, most of his picks typically sell between 10-25$ Al also doesnt telemarket like the rest of those buttheads that call wanting your money. We've all been burned by those guys before. There are a a lot of "reputable" cappers out there like The Manager, Mark Lawrence, Carlo Campanella, Bryan Leonard, and Al is at the top of the list for honesty, integrity, and fairness...

                                Just my 2 cents
....CUZ I'M RICK JAMES BBYYAATTTCCCHHH!!! Show Charlie Murphy ya titties!!
