                Saturday's six-pack

-- Memphis beat the Spurs 99-91, knocking out favored San Antonio in six games; Grizzlies went 9-0-1 vs spread against the Spurs this season.

-- Coffee prices could be going up as much as 40% this summer; price of coffee beans has inceased 70-80% in the last year.

-- Tony Gwynn Jr made a tremendous diving catch going towards line in leftfield, saving Dodgers' 3-2 win over San Diego. Seems that the best moments in Gwynn's career have all come against his dad's old team.

-- Indians have a 4.5-game lead in the AL Central; they're 11-2 at home. Colorado leads NL West by 3.5 games; no one else leads by more than a game and a half. Of course, its also still April.

-- Jason Marquis shut the Giants out Friday; he is 3-0, 2.62 this season.

-- Sharks beat Detroit in OT; Lightning upset Washington in Game 1's of the conference semifinals.

Saturday's List of 13: Going thru 2011 NFC schedules.........

This is going to be a bizarre NFL season, no matter how it plays out; the offseason has already been disrupted, so it can't be business as usual for 2011. But the flight from Las Vegas to Albany is 4:45, and I had the NFL schedule in my pocket, so I scribbled down some notes. Here they are:

Arizona-- Three straight road games in November, then four of their last five games are at home. No primetime games for the Redbirds.

Atlanta-- Play three of first four games on road, then only one of their last 12 games is outdoors. Old friend Michael Vick visits in Week 2.

Carolina-- Open at Arizona, then their last 15 games are all at 1:00, so not highly thought of by NFL. Play three straight road games in November.

Chicago-- Play Buccaneers in London; are one of five teams to finish with pair of road games, at Lambeau Christmas night and Minnesota Jan 1st.

Dallas-- First game (@ Jets) and last game (@ Giants) are both in Swamp Stadium; they don't play Giants until Weeks 14-17. Play five games with 1:0 Sunday starts, and also have five primetime games.

Detroit-- Monday night home game with Chicago is a highlight, first of three straight Detroit home games in October. Have weird Christmas Eve 4:05 kickoff vs San Diego-- why so late in the day?

Green Bay-- Three of their four primetime games are at home, but they're at Ford Field Thanksgiving Day. Finish up with couple of home games.

Minnesota-- Don't play road games in consecutive weeks, which is weird; their games with Green Bay are close together (weeks 7/10). They play at Green Bay/Chicago in their only two primetime games.

New Orleans-- Late bye (week 11); they've got three straight road games in early October, but three of their four primetime games are in Superdome.

NY Giants-- Play Jets Christmas Eve, giving them nine home games; three of their first four games are on road. Don't play Cowboys until Week 14, which is also their last road game.

Philadelphia-- One of five teams to open with pair of road games; trip to Atlanta in Week 2 is Vick's homecoming. Have impossible road trip Dec 1, playing Thursday game in Seattle after 4:15 Sunday game with Patriots.

Rams-- Pair of Monday night games, but both on road; don't play any of their NFC West rivals until Week 8. Don't play 49ers until December.

San Francisco-- Play first two games at home; last two on road- Turkey Day game with Ravens will be first game in NFL history where the head coaches are brothers. Play four games in eastern time zone.

Seattle-- Play 49ers in Weeks 1-16, Cardinals in 3-17, but games with the Rams are in Weeks 11-14. Open with two road games; both its primetime games are at home.

Tampa Bay-- Only one of first four home games is at 1:00, concession to Florida heat; one of three teams to finish with two road games. Also have game in London against the Bears; they play the Saints the game before and the game after their London trip.

Washington-- Weird that 12 of 16 games are at 1:00; sign of decline of this franchise. Only primetime game is Week 3 in Dallas, but they do play the Bills in Toronto. Very vanilla schedule for this franchise.
