            Providence-South Florida are both 0-5 in Big East, so this will be fierce struggle for first win. Bulls beat Providence twice LY, 109-105ot/99-93, after losing previous five games vs Friars. Providence lost last couple games by 13-30 points. Three of USF's five league losses were on road. Big East home favorites of 8 or less points are 10-5 vs spread.

            Notre Dame (-5) beat St John's 76-61 at home eight days ago, holding Red Storm to 38% in game they led by 19 at half. Home side won six of last seven series games; Irish lost last two series games by 6-3 points. Irish are 0-3 on road, losing by 12 at Syracuse, 22 at Marquette in league play. Big East home favorites of 8 or less points are 10-5 vs spread.

            Detroit won three of last four games vs Valparaiso, winning last two in this gym by 1-10 points; Titans Horizon League home teams are 4-2 vs spread when line is 3 or less points.
