I am throwing this out now becauseI think the line goes up by Saturday.
Tennessee -9 over Vanderbilt. I will post more info on this game as the week goes on. Bottom line is Vanderbilt is horrible. Tennessee just hung 50+ points on Ol Miss and Memphis in back to back games. I know neither one is Ohio State but never the less 50 points is 50 points. I think Derek Dooley finally has himself a QB in Tyler Bray a freshman. In the last 2 games he has thrown for 648 yards, 8 TDs and no turnovers. Vandy's passing defense is ranked 95th out of 120 schools.
Vanderbilt's QB on the other hand is Larry Smith, who may be the worse D1 QB in the country. Vandy is averaging 18 points per game with him under center. For his career at Vandy which covers 3 years and 480 passes he has a completion % of 48% with 11 TDs and 12 INTs and 2500 yards. His running skills are no better. For his career he has 479 yards in 196 carries for an average of 2.4 yds per carry. Honestly I have no idea why he is their QB.
Here is the final kicker. Tennessee is 4-6 with 2 games left. Despite stinking most of the year they still have a shot to go to a bowl but they need a win against Vandy and a win at home next week against Kentucky. Both are very winnable games. The game is at Vandy but since both schools are in Tennessee there should be a good contingent of Tennessee fans in attendance. Wil update the thread as the week goes on.
