Cavaliers blocked 12 shots in easy 96-83 Game 1 win; they were -6 in 7:46 that Lebron James was off floor- they had 13 offensive rebounds, but made just 6-23 shots from arc. Bulls had to fight hard just to get in playoffs- they won 10 of last 15 games, with seven of last nine games staying under the total; they forced 18 turnovers in Game 1, but made just oneof seven beyond the arc. This looks like a short series.

Utah shot 54.7% from floor in Game 1, made 24-32 from line, turned ball over only 10 times, but still lost by 13, because Denver shot 57.1% from floor, 11-26 from arc and turned ball over only eight times. Aaron Afflalo was -8 in his 25:35; Denver was +21 in 22:25 he was on bench. Jazz better find a way to slow Anthony (42 points in Game 1) down.

Chicago Bulls at Cleveland Cavaliers [TNT | 8:00 PM ET]

Bulls: Chicago entered the post season with confidence, yet that didn't help them at all in Game 1 against Cleveland. The Bulls looked lost on the court outside of PG Derrick Rose. Besides Rose, no other Bulls player scored more than 12 PTS for the Bulls. The Bulls only made 1 three pointer in the entire game, and they will certainly need to improve on that marksmanship if they are going to steal a game in this series. Rose led the Bulls with 20.8 PPG and 6 APG this season, and will continue to be the lead option for the Bulls in the postseason. The Bulls are 17-25 SU and 22-29 ATS away from home this season. The Bulls were 23-21 ATS as the listed underdog this season, including 2-5 ATS as a road underdog between 9.5 and 12 PTS. The Bulls have fared well this season in their own division, going 10-6 ATS this year. Chicago has scored at least 100 PTS in 4 of their past 6 games, while holding their opponents to 96 PTS or fewer in their past 4 contests. The Bulls will attempt to steal Game 2 tonight, and will consider the fact that they outscored the Cavs in the 2nd half as a confidence builder for tonight.

Bulls are 7-1 ATS last 8 games following a SU loss.
Over is 7-1 last 8 playoff games as an underdog.

                      Key Injuries - None.

                      PROJECTED SCORE: 96

Cavaliers (-10.5, O/U 191): Cleveland announced they were ready for the postseason with a huge 1st Quarter against the Bulls in Game 1 of their playoff series. The Cavaliers outscored the Bulls 32-18 and never looked back in their SU and ATS win. The Cavaliers finished the regular season at 61-21 SU, the best record in the NBA, yet many experts were concerned with the layoff the Cavaliers had entering the postseason. Cleveland has home court advantage as long as they are in the playoffs, which is crucial considering they are 36-6 SU and 18-23-2 ATS at home this season. Cleveland is 32-34 ATS as the listed favorite this season, including 6-10 ATS as a home favorite of 9.5 to 12 PTS. F LeBron James had 24 PTS on only 19 shots in Game 1, showing just how efficient his offensive game is. James comes off a regular season in which he averaged 29.7 PPG, 8.6 APG, and 7.3 RPG. C Shaquille O'Neal had a solid Game 1, as he had 12 PTS in 24 minutes of play. O'Neal also grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 4 assists in a great all around game.

Cavs are 19-6-1 ATS last 26 playoff games as a favorite.
Over is 4-1 last 5 playoff games as a favorite.

Key Injuries - F Danny Green (ankle) is questionable.

PROJECTED SCORE: 104 (OVER - Total of the Day)

Utah Jazz at Denver Nuggets [TNT | 10:30 PM ET]

Jazz: Utah is struggling right now with absolutely no momentum. Utah simply can't stop Denver from scoring, and now they just received news that they will be without one of their best players for the rest of the playoffs. C Mehmet Okur was ruled out for the playoffs yesterday because of a torn achilles. Utah needs to do a better job in the rebounding department, as they were out rebounded by 11 in their Game 1 defeat. PG Deron Williams was spectacular in defeat, as he had 26 PTS and 11 assists. G C.J. Miles and F Paul Millsap also had big games for the Jazz, yet again proving Utah needs to fix their defense if they are going to gain any momentum in this series. Utah is 21-21 SU and 23-18-1 ATS in road games this season. The Jazz are 12-11 ATS as the listed underdog this season. Utah has performed well after giving up more than 105 PTS this season, going 17-5 ATS in the following game after a defensive debacle. Utah is 17-9 ATS against teams that allow more than 99 PPG in the 2nd half of the season.

Jazz are 0-5 ATS last 5 games as a road underdog.
Over is 7-2 last 9 games following a SU loss of more than 10 points.

Key Injuries - C Mehmet Okur (ankle) is out.
F Andrei Kirilenko (calf) is out.

PROJECTED SCORE: 105 (Side of the Day)

Nuggets (-7, O/U 213): Denver broke open what had been a very competitive game in the 4th quarter, as they outscored Utah by 11 PTS in the quarter. Denver showcased their offense in Game 1, as they scored at least 30 PTS in 3 of the 4 quarters. The Nuggets shot 57% from the field, and were led by F Carmelo Anthony's 42 PTS. Anthony was a ridiculous 18 of 25 from the field in a very efficient Game 1. Denver has now scored more than 120 PTS in 2 of their past 3 contests. The Nuggets have scored at least 105 in all 5 games with the Jazz this season, proving that the Nuggets have an elite offense. The Nuggets are now 35-7 SU and 20-21-1 ATS at home this season. Denver has struggled as the listed favorite ATS, as they are only 26-36 ATS this season. The Nuggets are an impressive 6-2 ATS as a home favorite between 6.5 and 9 PTS this year. The Nuggets are 9-5 ATS against teams within their own division this season. Denver will look to keep G J.R. Smith hot, as he is one of the streakiest players in the NBA. Smith scored 20 PTS, including 4 three pointers in Game 1.

Nuggets are 8-2 ATS last 10 playoff games as a favorite.
Over is 5-1 last 6 playoff games as a favorite.

Key Injuries - G J.R. Smith (ankle) is questionable.

                      PROJECTED SCORE: 106

                        Monday six-pack

-- If you're going to be in Reading, PA Friday night, Jerry Lawler will be at the Reading Phils' minor league baseball game. "The King" is one of pro wrestling's most popular characters- he ran for mayor of Memphis a few years back.

-- Favorites are 7-1 against spread in NBA playoff games so far.

-- There have been 20 NHL playoff games so far; seven of them went to overtime. No doubt which sport's playoffs are more fun.

-- Colorado scored a bizarre goal 0:51 into OT, beating San Jose 1-0 and grabbing a 2-1 series over a San Jose team that outshot the Avalanche 51-16, after outshooting Colorado 52-22 in their Game 2 win. As San Jose tried to clear the puck, it got deflected into the Sharks' net.

-- Dwight Howard blocked nine shots as Orlando beat Charlotte 98-89; Magic had more blocked shots (10) than turnovers (7).

-- Busier-than-normal April Monday coming up; NASCAR race will be run in Texas at noon; Rays-Red Sox and also the Boston Marathon, and thats just during the day.

Monday's List of 13: Wrapping up a sports weekend........

                        13) The face of college sports is going to change drastically fairly soon, as realignment of conferences is going to happen; Big 11 is meeting this week and could decide to invite either three or five new schools into the league, which will set off a domino effect across the country.

Tuesday, we're going to present one idea on how major conferences could be aligned as soon as three years from now. Its all driven by money, as is the expansion of the NCAA basketball tournament. Progress? Not sure.

                        12) At some point, John Calipari is going to have to recruit some kids who will stay at Kentucky for more than one season; he's likely to start five freshmen next fall, all of whom probably have visions of the NBA in their head, and not the NBA five years from now.

                        11) One good thing the Mets did last winter was pass on Jason Marquis, who is off to an 0-3, 20.52 start with the Nationals. Marquis faced seven Milwaukee batters Sunday; they all scored.

                        10) One bad thing the Mets did Sunday was bat Frank Catalanotto 4th in their loss at St Louis; the guy is starting his first game of the year and he bats cleanup? What kind of managing is this?

                        9) 24 of the 25 Mets played in the 20-inning marathon Saturday; only Oliver Perez (Friday night's starting pitcher) didn't play and he was in the ondeck circle at one point to pinch-hit, but he never got in the game.

                        8) The day after Ubaldo Jiminez pitched his no-hitter, Colorado pitchers walked nine Braves and allowed eight hits in a 4-3 loss.

                        7) There was talk Sunday about announcers and no-hitters; radio guys are kind of obliged to talk about the no-hitter- how else would the listeners know what was going on? But on TV, there are graphics that can tell the story without an announcer saying the words "no-hitter". Superstitious as I am, there are ways to communicate without actually saying the words.

                        6) Barry Zito's first three starts: 19.1 innings, four runs. Good for him.

                        5) Rays won three straight games in Fenway for first time since 1999.

                        4) As if Rutgers basketball isn't screwed up enough, their best player is transferring to Florida. They want to fire Fred Hill but don't want to pay him whats he's owed, so the program is in limbo, which is going to set their recruiting back two or three years. Good luck finding a new coach.

                        3) NC-Wilmington hired Buzz Peterson, who is beginning to make Larry Brown look like Walter Alston; its the second time Peterson has left a job after just one season; he also left another job after two seasons. He has a good career record, but never stays anywhere for very long.

                        2) Mike Anderson turned Oregon down, and now the Ducks look like a bunch of jackasses; they've been turned down by everyone they've tried to hire, and that number is getting close to double figures. No idea where they go from here; maybe they should just re-hire alumnus Ernie Kent, who did well enough coaching Oregon for the last thirteen years.

                        1) Two weeks down, 24 to go in this baseball season; if the playoffs had to start Monday morning, these would be the playoff teams:
                        NL: Phillies-Cardinals-Giants-Marlins
                        AL: Bronx-Minnesota-Oakland-Tampa Bay
