                    Six-pack for Thursday

-- Colts' management is apparently very surprised by negative reaction by the Colt fans to pulling starters against the Jets.

-- Bears scored two TDs on their last 41 drives in road games.

-- Jets are 7-1 when they get 2+ takeaways in game, 1-6 otherwise.

-- Redskins are 1-6 in the road, but five of the six losses are by six points or less. Strange group, those Redskins.

-- In their first 11 games, Saints scored 45 TDs with 17 field goal tries; in their last four games, they scored 10 TDs with nine FG tries.

-- There are seven Pac-10 teams in bowls this year; Stanford is only one that is an underdog in its game.

                    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Thursday's List of 13: My NFL List of 13.........

                    13) Lions-- Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning apologized to Giant fans for missing the playoffs........why? Do your best and what happens happens. They did their best-- no need to apologize. Just do better next year.

                    12) Rams-- Congrats to Steven Jackson on making the Pro Bowl. Losing to the 49ers Sunday makes Nebraska's Mr Suh a Ram in April.

                    11) Ravens-- Have had more penalty yardage than their opponent in 11 of 15 games; in seven of the 11, they had 37+ more yards. Somebody in the striped shirts doesn't like the Ravens.

                    10) Vikings-- Wonder how many teams in NFL history got blanked in the first half, scored 30+ in second half and still didn't win?

                    9) Bengals-- These people have been thru bad things this year, but they've played good defense all season. You'd like to see them have some success in the postseason.

                    8) Patriots-- New England at San Diego Jan 16th or 17th would be tough opener in playoff for Norv Turner's Lightning Bolts.

                    7) Cowboys-- Any of the six teams in NFC bracket can get to Miami.

                    6) Packers-- Won six of last seven games; only Big Ben's 503-yard day in Pittsburgh keeps Pack from being on a 7-game roll.

                    5) Cardinals-- Have to try this week, because the bye is still possible. Not probable, but weirder things have happened.

                    4) Eagles-- Win at Dallas, get next week off. Lose to Dallas, come here next week to play the Cowboys again.

                    3) Saints-- Struggling right now, but they're #1 seed in NFC. When was the last time the two weakest playoff teams in conference heading to playoffs look to be the #1 and #2 seeds? Thats the way the NFC is right now.

                    2) Colts-- If you thought Curtis Painter played terribly at home last week, wait until you see him on the frozen tundra in Orchard Park this week.

                    1) Chargers-- I was in Vegas last time they lost. During baseball playoffs. Did you know former Charger kicker Rolf Benirschke was once the host of Wheel of Fortune? Its true.
