    Six-pack for Sunday

-- One thing to watch in Dallas home games is if punters boot the ball lower to avoid the video board, leading to longer punt returns.

-- Does anyone think the original script called for Tom Brady to play only in the first half? Or not be on the bench in the second half?

-- Ravens are still looking for a kicker to replace Matt Stover; Steve Hauschka missed a 27-yarder last night, not the way to impress folks.

-- Chargers gained 265 yards in first half in Atlanta last night-- hard to believe they didn't score a first drive touchdown all last season.

-- Titans' punter AJ Trapasso not only hit the video board in Dallas this summer, he also scored a TD on a fake punt. Tennessee pulled off another successful fake punt in Cleveland last night.

-- Thursday night, college football starts, real games that count. Amen.

Sunday's List of 13: Summing up a summer Saturday.....

    13) Buffalo Bills had eight first downs, 135 total yards at Pittsburgh in a 17-0 loss last night. Raiders trailed New Orleans 31-0 at the half at home Saturday. Its only preseason, but those two teams have to be worried.

    12) Tampa Bay will have its fifth different starting QB in last six years.

    11) Redskins' DB Fred Smoot went out of his way to praise backup QB Colt Brennan. You don't see that every day.

    10) Little League baseball is very big business. Seriously.

    9) Cincinnati WR Chris Henry has scored in all three preseason games, if you're looking for a sleeper in your fantasy drafts.

    8) There was a car fire outside Paul Brown Stadium Thursday nite during the Rams-Bengals game; two Rams left the game early with breathing problems caused by all the smoke around the stadium.

    7) 101 major league ballplayers have homered in their first at-bat.

    6) Why do a lot of special teams coaches look like they'd be happier in a dentist's chair getting their teeth drilled without novocaine?

    5) Angels are the only division leader who are under .500 against their own division rivals.

    4) Matt Cassel's injury Saturday night, while apparently not serious, is going to give Chiefs second thoughts about trading Tyler Thigpen.

    3) Tampa Bay Rays are bringing Andy Sonnanstine back to big leagues to replace Scott Kazmir, instead of prospect Wade Davis. Not good.

    2) Barry Zito has a 2.24 RA in his last nine starts.

    1) 59 Belmont Stakes winners have also raced in the Travers at Saratoga, with 30 of those 59 winning, after Summer Bird won Saturday.
