Not playing it big, but this game stands out big time to me.
First 5 Innings--- Minnesota +180
The Twins bats have been hot of late. 60+ runs in their last ten games (6+ rpg). Twins have won two in a row over Texas. Holland has pitched real well of late, but is nowhere near worthy of being a -200 favorite here. Swarzak, on the other side, has had 3 terrible consecutive losses, and definitely looks like he should get another one.
But, I'm gonna take the chance here on the Twins hot bats, and most importantly, not only hitting, but hitting early. Looking at their last games, they are loading up runs in the first 5, and falling off in the last 4, if they can do the same here, they should score a few off Holland early. And hopefully, Texas will have some trouble with a pitcher they have never faced before.
Certainly not the best play on the board in terms of winning/losing, but definitely worth a shot at +180
Tampa's looking for a road sweep of the O's here. The bats are hot (20+ runs last 4 games // 5+ rpg), during the 4 game win streak they're riding. Shields has given up 9 ER in his last 3 starts (over 18+ IP). Shields also pitches much better at home, than on the road. He also shut down the O's against them last time out giving up 0 ER, on 3 hits and a walk over 7 IP.
On the other side, Matusz, a rookie, has an ERA near 7 and a WHIP near 2.5. Definitely an easy pitcher to score off of here.
Looks like a blowout win by the Rays to me.
Final card:: First 5 Innings--- Minnesota +180 Tampa Bay Rays -1.5 (-118)
