  • Mavs' Plays

Gonna' try and keep it two 2-3 plays per day. Gonna' keep them all in one thread. Hope this changes my luck.

Had a bad beat yesterday, but it happens. Gonna' go back to the scene of the crime. Been horrible as of late.

    One play today:

    CWS -1.5 (-112)

Just a complete mismatch up and down the board. Buerhle had a bad run of starts but put together a dominant performance last time out, giving up 0 ER and only 7 baserunners in 8 IP. On the other side of the coin, Bannister put together a few effective starts in July, but in his last two starts he has given up 14 ER in 10 IP, with 20 baserunners in those 10 IP.

In a large sample the WS hitters are batting nearly .300 against Bannister with Ramirez, Pierzynski and Thome leading the way. Bannister pitches much worse during night games, and much worse on the road.

All looks good for a WS blowout to me.

                  Thanks guys.

White Sox bullpen at it again. Scott Linebrink does the deed this time.

                      First Five Innings-- Seattle -120

Public is still high on Porcello, but his ERA has climbed steadily and with good reason through July and August. He's settled down a bit, but not well enough to be close to even money in this game. Porcello has an ERA near 5 at home and has given up 6 ER and 15 base runners in just 12 IP against Seattle this season.

On the other side, Hernandez has pitched consistently all year except for a blow up a few starts back against Toronto. He had a recent bump in the road against TB give up 5 R (3 ER) in a bad start, but settled back down next time out with a dominant performance against the W Sox.

Seattle has been struggling at the plate recently but coming off a 10 run performance against the Yanks and a day of rest I'll take the chance.

                      Good Luck as Always Guys.
