And wouldn't 350 be short, as opposed to the other races. Wasn't last week 400? Or are the numbers just for fun? I have no idea how you guys follow this.
350 is the miles.Last week was 400 miles.Just tag along for a while and you will start to understand.I will say that FOX,TNT and ESPN brodcast crews all do a great job each week explaining what is taking place.Won't be long Mavs and you will be using terms like" a pound out of the right rear" "loose in turn 2 but tight in turn 3" "Boogity,Boogity,Boogity" and my favorite is"Kyle Busch Sucks"
350 is miles, just like the Daytona 500 is 500 miles. Track size has nothing to do with that. They adjust the amount of laps at each race to equal the miles for that race.
Got ya, but 350 is a short race, correct? I thought the average was 400 or 500.

Exactly Mavs. And in a couple of weeks there going back to Daytona for 400 miles.Same track just less miles(laps)

Not looking to get involved with the sports, just backing my boy Casey Mears, and apparently looked like an idiot in the process.

Short race mile wise but not time wise. They only run 2 road course races each year and this is one of them. Average speeds for the race on a road course will be much lower than any other track they race at each year. Slower speeds equal longer time to finish the race. Having it be a 350 instead of a 400 or 500 equals that out.
