10 is wrong also, sorry Bry. Incorrect answers: (10,12,15,16,18,23,24,27).....

Wayne was closest with 12. The correct answer is 13. A game only needs to go 4.5 innings to be complete. This can occur when the home team is leading after 4.5 innings, the game is rained out and the home team has no need to bat again. Therefore the opposing pitcher would only have to throw 4 innings. (4 x 3 = 12). However for this scenario to be true, the away has to have given up a run, otherwise the home team could not be winning. One run, one homer, one batter. (12 +1 = 13).

This scenario did in fact happen once.....

      Question #4:

There is one situation in baseball where a runner is automatically given a three base award due to the outcome and circumstances of the play. A "ground rule triple." Name the circumstances of the play where this can occur.

Nice job kid. Throwing any part of a player's uniform intentionally and hitting the ball is a three base award.

              Question #5:

Situation is: A ground ball is hit softly down the 3rd base line and has not yet passed third base. The third baseman gets down on his stomach and blows the ball into foul territory. Legal or illegal? And if illegal, why?
