  • 3 Wise Men Baseball Monday 4/27

Yesterday : 4-5 and ½* win with Houston but a 2* top play loss with The Cards

    Last Week: 18-14

    Season: 73-51

    Top Plays:
15-7 … are now tapering off after a blistering start

    Winning days: 14

    Losing Days: 5

    The Plays for Monday:

    Notes:

Many games today … so far this season we’ve been very resilient after a losing day … but it’s Monday so budgeting your stash is the main thing .

Like every pick I make in either MLB or Football , all my sides have the edge and I won’t weed out games based on “feel” or “emotion”

What I do not like about today’s stuff is that all but 1 game is on a fave … as a dog player ( especially in football ) this makes me somewhat uneasy

A possible idea is to play the top games and cut back on the 1*’s , or cut back altogether across the board. Given it’s Monday, I’d cut back altogether.

    3 Top Plays:

    1 ½* Texas + 1 ½ Runs –135

    1 ½ * Kansas City –105

    1 ½ * Florida + 1 ½ Runs -135 if you can get it at 135 , in this case even lay –140 … but if not make a 1* play on Florida +140

    1* Washington + 1 ½ Runs –125

    1* Atlanta –130

    1* Cincinnati –115

    1* Colorado –115

    1* NY Yankees –135

1* Tampa Bay +105 …. We have not had success with Tampa this season … probably due to their performance last season and the ratings being built in to it … with time we’ll get a better fix on this year’s team.

    1* Seattle + 1 ½ Runs -125

    Best of Luck,

    -Neil

Just a quick question. I know most/all of these plays are system plays, and I know they've been doing very, but I don't getting Cincinnati at all. I'm very much not a system player, but when a player dominates another team like Oswalt does Cincinnati (8-0 L9 starts and 23-1 career) I can't see taking the other side. Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

I actually won yesterday playing your plays, i was in a rush so i wagered on all of them for the same amount, of which i normally put more on the higher rated plays. I even put the same amount on Pitt because you mentioned that you had the game at - 115, that right there made me win money yesterday.

              Good luck today and thanks

i dont belive starting pitching matters people place too much on it, they dont last the whole game and its bullpens that should be "rated" daily as they have far more effect on the total game

                            Hi Apples

I don't use systems for baseball ... If I did , I'd have access to the very best, but I won't spend 30 - 40 hours a week capping baseball.

I do use systems for football ... my database has literally close to 1500 , team and league , and I do spend an obscene amount of time each week with them. Some go back to last season , others go as far back as 25 years. We win every year for one simple reason ... players and coaches all have 1 thing in common ... they are creatures of habit.

I know their habits , every single one of them.

I also rely very heavily on the Linesmaker's number for each game. He's the best capper in the world.

The Cincinnati/Houston game ... why is not Houston with Oswalt favored tonight ? He's got such a spell working against Cincy and yet TONIGHT he's a dog.

This tells me that tonight , Oswalt probably will run into trouble.

                            ( Besides that , and most importantly , I have Cincy as a -160 fave )
