Sorry Chad, I thought vondie was talking about the Sharks and not the Red Wings. When it comes to the Red Wings, i do agree with you on that one Chad!

The Sharks choke alright over the years. I would not bet on them to win the Cup until they prove me otherwise however I am betting them to at least win a round or two (depending on 2nd round matchup)..

Nascar, wow, any event that can end with everyone on the track holding hands(yellow) is not a sport. And it always amazes me, you can have a driver ahead of everyone by almost a complete lap, and because someone else wrecks you can basically all catch up to the leader?

My response to Chado was a joke.And in reality,so is yours.Guys run 500 miles at 190-200 MPH and guys on pit road change 4 tires and fill cars up with gas in 12-14 seconds.Sounds like a sport with athletes to me!!!!!!!!!!!

Never once said that the drivers are not athletes. But the rules of the sport don't exactly inspire me.....Isn't it true that a race can be won by every single racer simply pacing because they are under a caution? And how is it fair that someone who has built a lead basically loses that lead because of an accident, where everyone catches him and rides his bumper until the caution is over..?? There is definite skill involved, but it really comes down to machine versus machine. All the drivers can drive and all the pitt crews can change tires really fast. Real drama and sport to me comes down to player versus player. And this my friends is just an opinion. I lived in the South for 10 years and believe me, I tried to get into it because every place I went it was on the TV, but I just couldn't get into it. Sorry if I have offended anyone....

I'm a member of a dozen different online books and none of them are allowing to Parlay NHL Series, where did you parlay NHL First Round Series, online or Vegas?

As far as predictions I agree with most of yours, here are mine:

WASH in 6
PITT in 7 (betting PHI)
NJ in 7 (betting CAR)
VAN in 7 (betting STL)
BOS in 5
DET in 6 (betting CLB)
CHI in 5
SJ in 5

If I could I would parlay WAS, BOS, CHI, and SJ since I don't think any of those go 7, but if they did I could take the dog in last game to cover my original bet.

Most books dont offer parlaying NHL series wagers probably because they would get raped year after year. I however have been doing them every post season at 5Dimes.com.
