                          7) Old Dominion is now 10-1 in last 11 games after hard-fought win over Hofstra (52-51) that had won 10 of previous 13 games.

                          6) Auburn snapped LSU's 13-game SEC winning streak, beating the Tigers 69-53. LSU shot just 32% from the floor.

                          5) Guys on CBS said they didn't know if Pitt PG Fields would play as late as ten minutes before tipoff, but he played and played well in Panthers' 70-60 win at home vs UConn.

                          4) Marquette is dropping like a rock without PG James; they lost at home to Syracuse, are going to suffer in NCAA seeding.

                          3) I think Oklahoma State deserves an NCAA bid; they only lost in Norman by four points, are a much-improved team.

                          2) Bad loss for Penn State, falling in OT at Iowa after their big win at home against Illinois Thursday night. They'll need win or two in Big 11 tournament to get in the Field of 65.

                          1) Netherlands beat Dominican Republic in World Baseball Classic, 3-2, in a huge upset. Jose Reyes didn't start for DR, since Ortiz was DH and Hanley Ramirez was SS. Mets must be thrilled with that.
