What I am saying is that Holmes bid for MVP was made on one drive and in most people's opinions it was a bid made on one play, a play that Ben was a big part of. Ben led the offense the ENTIRE GAME. Sure, he didn't throw for 400 yards, but when his running game is MIA, that's hard to hold against him. He played great for 60 minutes, not one drive. I think the entire game outweighs one drive of good catch and runs.

Really in the end this all boils down to opinions, and is something that can't be argued with any real conclusion. Just defending my post as it seems my opinion wasn't fully understood. I can certainly see why Holmes won the MVP, but think there's a few very good reasons to make Ben the MVP as well.

I would have given CO-MVP to both,

In BR's defense, QB is way harder to play under the pressure of a SB than playing WR.

      Great game!

1st FG drive, in the 1st quarter, Ben throws to Miller down to the one, and three run plays fail to score, can't blame play calling. And other than this I counted exactly ONE time when Pitt got inside the 10 and settled for a FG. I might be wrong as I didn't look too far into that.

Co-MVP would have been the way to go.... They both made the plays when their team needed them. To have Ben and Holmes on the same page to make the plays was even tougher with Ward being held to 2 receptions'.

He even said in the post game that he thought it was going to be intercepted. He said that. The amazing part of that play was all Holmes. How he could go higher than the 3 other guys charging him, catch that ball and then touch 2 toes inside the chalk was simply spectacular. When i first saw it live, i said no way he caught that. I then said no way his feet were down. I could not believe it after seeing the replay. I never said what a great throw. Ben threw it up there and Holmes owned it!
I agree and Holmes, in my opinion, definitely deserved the MVP.

When the score was 20-7 and before he acted like an asshole, Harrison had to be the favorite to win the MVP. There was no excuse for what he did and like Madden said, he should have been ejected.
