I wonder if the lackluster performance in the bowl game impacted his decision? I thought he played quite well in the first half (minus the pick right before half), but he looked a little shaky in the 2nd half.

I don't think it would have much impact, but I've read articles that said that game could have dropped his stock. Right or wrong, the perception was that the Big 12 defenses weren't very good, so to have a bad game against the only defense he faced full of NFL talent, who knows.
