Monte. I am not a bible thumper but it is obvious to me that Tebow looks at his missionary work with God as his motivation and salvation - not money (as we so often hear).

The college scene is his pulpit to channel Gods work in relation to his work here on earth. He will be arguably the best college player to play the game. More missionary work and somewhat amazing feats of working out this year is in his plans. He shows no fear on the the field or in life for injury and has a faith that we all seem to need ourselves. He will gain many new followers next year. Endorsements will be all over him and provide him sustenance in his desire to help others.

The pros do not offer Tim an immediate stage in which he can do Gods work. The money is a big deciding factor (pros) but he will make more on endorsements for a non- profit entity by staying in College and after he leaves.

"The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice.

QFT. I like your take. Something I believed myself about Tebow however wouldn't be able to put it into words like you just did. Nice post.
No thrills, frills, spills or write-ups. Just givin ya the winners everyday.

I've heard interviews with him and he has made it no secret that playing pro ball is a major goal in his life. He has said that one of the things he looks forward to about being in the NFL is the money and the platform it will provide for his message. He will have a much bigger platform in the NFL than college b/c it is a much more international game than college.

I think Tebow is a very sincere and good kid, and he has given no reason not to give him the benefit of the doubt. However, if he would have projected as a first round pick, I feel pretty certain he would have declared for the draft. I think it came back as a 3rd or 4th round grade, so it made more sense to continue on as a gator.

I also heard the interviews and all that you have said. I do not doubt that he would have gone to the pros if the pick was higher and the money was right.
The obvious thing here is - where does Tebow have the best stage in which to do God's work?

One clue may be. Pink Floyd song "Wish you were here"

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
            blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
            A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
            Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
            Cold comfort for change?

And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here.

We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have you found? The same old fears.
            Wish you were here.

                OK A Poem then.

You can take your golf and the rolling greens
You tennis with manicured courts neat and clean
Your soccer, your swimming, your basketball scene -
None measure up to playing Football for the Gators, I scream!

You can reel in that trout on the end of your line
Spit out your chew while you're ridin' the pine
Pick up that spare with a strike, not a nine
But none spell excitement like playing Football for the Gators, all the time!

The screaming, the cheering, the noise of the crowd
The crashing and bashing of helmets so loud
That winning touchdown that makes us all proud
Nothing's as awesome as playing Football for the Gators, its as if you are on a cloud!

And there's not another thing I'd rather do
Than play each game tough for one more year for the orange and blue
And create my missionary pulpit for the Big Bowl above
Seeking much higher standards as a testament in the name of God's Love!

Guys, I had a HORRIBLE nightmare last night that Coach Richt got fired and Gene Chiznik was named head coach.

OK, so Im looking at Auburn's schedule to find their two toughest matchups for next year and I can only find one: Alabama. So, Tiger/War Eagle/? you can have Tech and Auburn $300/piece. I will take Georgia to beat Tech and Tigers/War Eagle/?.
