Lol the Big 10? Are you kidding me. Utah would handle almost every team in that conference.

Sort of like how Florida and Oklahoma handled almost every team in their respective conferences?

I am not trying to take anything away from Utah. They deserve all the praise. They have had a great season and played a great game tonight.I just do not believe they could have run a SEC,BIG 12 etc. schedule..

Run the schedule? Probably not. But the way they played tonight they could beat anybody in the country.

USC almost handled every team in their conference just like Oklahoma or Florida? Really the only difference from the Pac 10 to the Big 12 and SEC is they are missing another powerhouse. USC gets to handpick the best players on the western part of the country so that is why the rest of the conference is much weaker.

Damn we are missing out on what would be a good playoff.

                    Utah vs Florida/Oklahoma winner
                    USC vs Texas/Ohio St winner

All I hear in these threads is how so and so team wouldn't do this or that in the SEC.

You know what? It's not about that. It's about WINNING the games you are suppose to win in the conference you are in. It's about WINNING the best game they give you at the end of the year.

If Bama was in such a better conference and played such a tougher schedule to get there, then why did they just get dominated by a non BCS conference team when they've had OVER a month to prepare? With arguably the best coach in college football.

Please give up the, "well they wouldn't win in the SEC crappola." They just beat one of your best teams.....

Until the system is fixed to a playoff there should be no championship game. There should just be the 4 big bowls (Rose, Orange, Sugar, Fiesta). No #1 champion.

Agreed - Bama was #1 in the country for 5 weeks.
They allowed 17 sacks all season - they allowed (8) tonight. at least

I would have to disagree it is not about winning the best game they give you at the end of the year but about winning the most games against the best teams throughout the year. And like I said I give them plenty of credit for being the better team tonight but I question if they could stand up for 12 weeks in the big conferences.

The suspension of Andre Smith did not have anything to do with that?
