        ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
        Tips and Trends
        ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Portland Trail Blazers at Boston Celtics [ESPN | 8 PM ET]

Blazers: Portland is a perfect 7-0 against Eastern Conference opponents this season, but Boston has won the last six meetings between the teams. “We remember, and we know who they are,” Blazers head coach Nate McMillan said. “They are the defending champions. We’re playing well, they’re playing well.” McMillan's team has also won six straight overall, limiting opponents to just 86.3 points and 43.2 percent shooting during that stretch.

Road team is 12-4 ATS in the last 16 meetings.
The UNDER is 7-0 in Portland's last 7 games overall.

        Key Injuries - NONE.

PROJECTED SCORE: 87 (UNDER - Total Play of the Day)

Celtics (-7.5, O/U 184.5): Boston is riding a 10-game winning streak and will be trying to win 11 in a row for the first time since 1986. Point guard Rajon Rondo notched his first career triple double in a 114-96 win over Indiana and continues to improve for the Celtics. “He was amazing,” Garnett said. “It was like there was three Rondos. I looked up and it came off the rim and he is grabbing a rebound, then I got back on defense and he beat me back. He was everywhere tonight.”

Celtics are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
The OVER is 25-10 in Boston's last 35 games vs. Northwest Division.

Key Injuries - G Tony Allen (ankle) is day-to-day.

        PROJECTED SCORE: 94

Toronto Raptors at Utah Jazz [ESPN | 10:30 PM ET]

Raptors: Toronto will be playing its first game without head coach Sam Mitchell, who was fired following Tuesday's 132-93 loss at Denver. Canadian Jay Triano takes over for the Raptors and wants his team to push the ball more offensively. “I think running becomes a mind-set and a habit,” Triano said. “I think if it’s not enforced it becomes easy to walk the ball up the court. We’re committed to trying to find easier ways to score the basketball.”

Raptors are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 Friday games.
The OVER is 7-2 in Toronto's last 9 games overall.

        Key Injuries - NONE

        PROJECTED SCORE: 98

Jazz (-5.5, O/U 202): The Jazz are dealing with a bunch of injuries in their frontcourt, which could be the reason they have lost their last two home games after winning eight of their first nine there. They have averaged just 88.5 points in those two losses after scoring 106.3 per game in their first nine home games. “We just don’t have a whole lot of rhythm right now,” said Utah guard Kyle Korver. The Jazz have not lost three straight at home since April of 2007.

Jazz are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings.
Jazz are 45-21-2 ATS in their last 68 home games. F Andrei Kirilenko (ankle) is questionable.

Key Injuries - F Matt Harpring (back) is questionable.
F Carlos Boozer (thigh) is OUT.

        PROJECTED SCORE: 104
