Jimmy and TKim, your missing my point, I am not taking up for Weis at all - he sucks and the team sucks because of him.

My point is that traditions like ND (throw in Ohio St./USC/Fla/Ala) are good for football, for the lovers and the haters. I am glad AF is tough to get in and wont compromise just to win.

TKim, of course you can win without thugs but if that were the case why would teams recruit them?

I dont hate ND and I dont route for them either (only if I have $$ on them)

Still it whould be pretty lame and embarassing for a once proud ND to take part in a bowl game named after a lawntractor or some sort of weed eater in a game played before Christmas against another 6-6 team which will probablly kick their ass and bitch slap them all game long

I am a big Notre Dame fan. Last year I came out and said I expected them to be bad because of how young they were.

When looking at the schedule this year, I expected them to win 7-8 maybe even 9 games based on the kids coming back and the weak schedule.

Now they are 6-6. And I can honestly say that from the Navy game to now, I honestly think they have gotten worse then better. Any progress they made in the beginning of the season was all washed away in the last month. Very embarrassing.

Should they go to a bowl game? For the seniors, yes.

I am very torn on Charlie Weis right now. On one hand I'd love to see the alumni buy him out and get someone else here to fix this mess, but I was hard on them when they fired Willingham before letting him get a full five years to build the program.

Charlie is in year 4......I think it's safe to say one more to go and that's it.
