            Tips and Trends
            ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Houston Rockets at Washington Wizards [ESPN | 7 PM ET]

Rockets(-7, O/U 182): Houston hopes to have center Yao Ming back after missing one game to nurse a foot injury. The Rockets have won six straight meetings with Washington thanks to Yao's strong play. He has averaged 30.5 points, 11.2 rebounds and 3.5 blocks in the four games he has played against the Wizards during that stretch. Tracy McGrady and Ron Artest are also dealing with injuries and combined to shoot 10-of-28 in a 96-86 loss to Dallas on Wednesday.

Rockets are 22-8 ATS in their last 30 Friday games.
The UNDER is 6-2 in Houston's last 8 games vs. Southeast Division.

Key Injuries - C Yao Ming (foot) is day-to-day.

PROJECTED SCORE: 92 (UNDER - Total Play of the Day)

Wizards (NA): Washington has little sympathy for Houston's injury situation since usual starters Gilbert Arenas and Brendan Haywood have yet to play a game this season. Antonio Daniels has also missed the last four games with a knee injury, putting even more pressure on Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison, who combined for 50 points and 18 rebounds in a 91-87 loss at Atlanta on Wednesday. “It’s the same situation,” Jamison said. “We’re just not closing games out. We’re making the same mistakes. We’ve played it over and over again.”

Wizards are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
The UNDER is 3-1 in the last 4 meetings.

Key Injuries - G Antonio Daniels (knee) is day-to-day.

            PROJECTED SCORE: 85

New Orleans Hornets at Oklahoma City Thunder [ESPN | 9:30 PM ET]

Hornets (-10, O/U 191): New Orleans returns to the city that served as the team's home during parts of the 2005-2007 seasons following Hurricane Katrina. In fact, Oklahoma City was awarded the former Sonics due to the tremendous fan support for the Hornets during that time. New Orleans will now try to get back on track in front of some familiar faces after losing five of seven. “We definitely have taken steps back as a team,” Hornets F David West said. “We’re going to have to come together and make a push because right now teams are just walking over us.”

Favorite is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings.
The UNDER is 12-5-1 in New Orleans' last 18 games vs. Northwest Division.

            Key Injuries - NONE

            PROJECTED SCORE: 98

Thunder: Oklahoma City will be playing on national television for the very first time and looks to showcase a much better product than the team's NBA-worst 1-11 mark would suggest. The Thunder are led by promising second-year forward Kevin Durant, who has taken on the face of the franchise and realizes he must do more than just lead the team in scoring. “We got to come in and watch film and get better at practice - we have to play harder,” Durant said. “I myself have to play harder and work harder so we can get better.”

Oklahoma City is 1-7-1 ATS in its last 9 Friday games.
The UNDER is 11-5 in Oklahoma City's last 16 home games.

Key Injuries - F Desmond Mason (back) is day-to-day.

PROJECTED SCORE: 92 (Side Play of the Day)
