They don't blow the play dead immediately on the illegal forward pass. The only reason I can possibly think for the review was to get the call right. Somewhere down the road tie breakers might come into play.

If it was a forward lateral was there a penelty flag thrown? I thought reviews werent supposed to look for penelties. I too got fisted up the ass with no lube with this games ending

another great point i didnt even think about. Penalties cannot be reviewed. this game ATS wise was so fixed anyone who thinks otherwise needs to wake up to big money football. its far bigger than you and i betting a few bucks on a game

Haha, didn't look at it that way. But, yeah...... the play had absolutely no effect on the outcome. The play was only reviewed because of the spread..... there's no other reason to review a play like that. Like when a losing team scores a TD with no time left. Nobody really cares, nobody reviews it. But if it has an effect on the spread, it gets reviewed.... every time. I think it was a stupid play to review, because it didn't matter. But ultimately the right call

Thats like saying why call a holding penalty in a blow out. So now when games are blowouts they should swallow the whistle?

The officials jobs are to get it right irrergardles sof the score. Kudos to them IF they did get right.

I may be in the minority but I believe they would review it. I have seen them review plays in blowouts, just because it is the last play of the game I don't think would matter.

definitely a forward lateral.... LT from the 25, chambers caught the ball at almost the 27. Definitely forward, but i agree no affect on the game.

i say if you have SD you are a happy camper but if you had Pit.. you are not one.. bottom line.. win and you're happy w/SD.. saddened like shit if you have Pit.. me, I had PIT.. at -2.5.. I bought pts.. we didn't need that safety... because pit would have won by at least 3 pts if that safety didn't happened.
