That pass was backwards and I'm pretty sure you can advance a lateral.

They just said on ESPN that you can't advance a lateral, therefore, ball was down where Polamalu picked it up.

you definitely can advance a lateral, same as a fumble, what you can't advance is an ilegal forward lateral, and even though there wasn't one, in my eyes, the Refs ruled there was, thus no advancement, Pitts ball right there, time runs out,,,

that outcome was a total sham. NFL wont even mention it because it didnt affect the W/L of the game. only the ATS. everyone knows its rigged and a joke.

I agree with everything you said kapt. Only one problem. The rulling on the field was Touchdown and the whistle never blew which means the play is live. They only made that BS call after a review. I watched the play several times over and i still dont see an illegal forward pass. Regardless why do you alter the final score from 17-10 to 11-10 when either way pitt wins unless something is FIXED!!!!!!

when LT catches the pass from Rivers..... he turns, but ((when watching in slow motion)) laterals the ball forward to chris chambers. It's not clear when watched regularly, but I have DVR, tivo shit. And you can replay in slo-mo. LT foward laterals to Chambers. And kapt. is right...... you can't advance a forward lateral. The ruling is absolutely right. Stupid they would review it in the 1st place. But it's right. I watched it 5 times, and you can see it

LT was running east/west. He had the ball in his left hand, closer to the end zone. He laterals it forward. Watch the replay in slo-mo from the end zone. IMO it's a forward pass.

If it was forward, they made the right call. Get it right regardless of the score.

I also didn't bet the game.

They don't blow the play dead immediately on the illegal forward pass. The only reason I can possibly think for the review was to get the call right. Somewhere down the road tie breakers might come into play.

If it was a forward lateral was there a penelty flag thrown? I thought reviews werent supposed to look for penelties. I too got fisted up the ass with no lube with this games ending
