More info on Fresno:

I found that a very influential (for no reason) tout put out a play on Hawaii. This guy has been moving the line for two years. Don't worry about it---he's a 50 percenter who for some reason has a cultlike following. The line should go back up. Play ASAP.

I know Fresno and talked to the coach today. I asked him if this was going to be a blowout. His exact words were "no, we're not that good and Hawaii needs this win bad. If they lose, their season is done."

That doesnt seem like a smart and confident comment for the Fresno coach to say about the team for motivation going into your second home game....

No problem. Hill doesn't like to run the score up on teams. See the UCLA game with 1 minute left and Fresno on the 3 yard line and could have easily punched it in for the cover. He had them take a knee. I asked him about it and he said, why go for the score. Take a knee and we're done. So if you're thinking he's going to try and run it up, you might be mistaken. If they dominate the Warriors, that's a another story.

And FWIW, the comment he made about them not being good enough for a blowout, he made that behind closed doors and it was just between him and I. I chose to share it with you guys.....GL

I did some work for the LA Times of him. Went in his office to get some tickets for a student that's never been to a college football game. He was watching game films of high school players. He actually chewed my ass out for making him move his car for a better angle.....

He's really a straight shooter. Hard nosed, grind it out type of guy. Blue collar coach, totally.....
