I went 4-1 in CFB last week. Unfortunately, the one loss was a very tough beat on a 2* on Ohio State, my only 2* loser in CFB so far.
2* Fresno State -22 1/2
I've won twice this year going against Hawaii with big faves (Oreg State and Florida) and this should be an easy third time. Hawaii will have a bad letdown after outgaining San Jose at home and still losing. Fresno (a badly managed program in my opinion) always beats up on strong non-conf foes and then tanks in WAC play. I think Hill has finally figured out he will never have a marquee program until he wins his own league. This is their first conference game after a strong non-conf slate. Fresno is a strong physical team with a veteran QB going against a weak inexperienced team with a bad QB situation. Fresno will not look ahead as they have Idaho and a bye next. Absolute blowout.
1* UNLV +1 1/2
Colorado State is a very poor team (worst in the Mountain West) facing an improved UNLV team. While UNLV often tanks after playing instate rival Nevada, they actually catch a point against a team that is two touchdowns worse. There is a possible letdown here but I'll go with the more talented dog.
1* Florida -24
Arkansas is another team I've gone against with success this year. You have no idea how bad they are until you watch them play. Petrino is buiulding for the future with a team filled with inexperienced players. QB Casey Dick isn't that good. Florida is always tough off a loss and needs to salvage its season after the weird loss to Mississippi. Arkansas was run off the field by both Alabama and Texas and this may be the worst beat of all.
1* UCLA -17
Washington State has as bad a defense as any major conference team. They are giving up an unbelievable number of yards on the ground. UCLA showed resilience in playing decently last week against Fresno and gets to beat up on a very bad opponent. I like playing avergae teams in need of a win against bad opponents (last week's 2* win by me with San Diego State over Idaho an example).
Opinions only:
NC State (O'Brien gets revenge)
Florida State (I may upgrade this to a play depending on line movement; with the suspensions over there is a huge talent mismatch here that the line doesn't reflect)
NFL:
I'll write this up later but play it NOW when you get the -3 with juice.
2* Saints -3 (-120)
also:
1* Cardinals +1 (they're a dog at a lot of books but won't be by Sunday)
