I saw a lot of the Ark/Bama game and Ark really is a cieve defensiviely. I know Petrino may turn this around eventually but they are really awful right now. Obviously Bama is very talented but still. I expect Texas to cover fairly easily. -

Typical fuckin texas fan. Arkansas has some rough spots full of whitetrash necks, but Fayetteville and all northwest Arkansas is beautiful and always have a great time when I drive down from KC. Nutt resigned u douche! We honored the rest of his contract even though he went in conference to Ole miss. Nutt was a great motivator, but a terrible coach. He lied to Springdale recruits Mustain, and Williams that led to their transfer to USC. Nutt was terrible with clock management cause even though he was forced finally to hire a Offensive cordinator 2 yrs ago, he still changed plays he didnt like on the sideline or burned timeouts all the time to try and decided what to do. Just look at our bowl record under him dude! Yes we suck this year and Nutt left us with pretty much nothing, but we do have some young talent on offense, and if Dick can grow a sack and limit turnovers we can score on texass.Originally posted by AmackinDallasComment

Yeah, but Casey Dick is the biggest problem that Arkansas team has right now and he hasn't even shown flashes of improving. The best QB on that team has to sit out this year and I'd argue the 2nd best is a true freshman.Comment

The ark/bama game was very misleading. Yes bama showed they are a much better team, but the 1st half the Hogs had 2 promising drives in bama territory ending with 2 ints of 63 and 74 yrds for td's. Then Ark is 1st and goal at the 1 before the half and Dick blows it and we get stopped with no pts. We get the ball in the 2nd half, and the very 1st pass from Dick is picked off leading to a 30yr td run. Im really not trying to make excuses for my HOgs, but an honest look and Bama only wins by a td or 2. So as far as texas goes we are def. outmatched, but somehow we always play texas close. Bama rushed for 328 and texas with their run game will do the same and probably over 400 against our week young linebackers. texas could win by 40, but It wouldnt surprise me if the Hogs can get a turnover, and Dick limits mistakes they only lose by 14-17.Comment

I dont really know yet. Tcu's D is pretty good but they havent faced anybody worth a crap. They went up there in 05 as 25 dog and beat them which makes me think stoops has OK prepped pretty good for this one. I'm not an Arkansas fan, but losing Houston Nutt was a good thing for that program. As a fan of a local team that plays the Hogs, he was the perfect coach because he won enough to keep his job, but he always fielded a beatable team and had trouble keeping the best players in his own state. Within 2 days of Petrino's hiring, my team lost their top QB recruit for 2008 and lost a shot at a number of other top players in Arkansas. Arkansas will be better off in the next few years than they ever could have been with Nutt.Comment
